I mean they've always been here. You guys broke into them, remember? [lightly. but they glance back at the room for a moment.]
Um...give me one sec!
[they
slam the door in her face.
she's left waiting for a few seconds, and there are a few bumps and crashes inside before it opens again.]
Okay. You can come in.
[when she enters the room, what she sees first is that it's glowing with some low lighting, enough to see and be comfortable without being overwhelmingly bright. the walls are dark, floors a dark wood and the accent colors are very rich and deep (burgundies, creams, etc.) the king-sized bed is there, piled high with pillows and blankets. there's a window across from the entrance with a window seat, curtains currently open to reveal what looks like a nice, scenic park. two large bookcases are flanking each side of the window, crammed with books. there's a fireplace and a plush reading chair, with a small table to the side of it. there's also a large executive desk against another wall, along with a closet door and a bathroom door.
there's a typewriter on the desk, along with a closed laptop. there are...also a fuckton of papers. like just a buttload of papers in a messy pile, two books stacked on each other next to the typewriter itself. there's a garbage can filled with papers, snack wrappers and soda cans. the office chair is comfy and leather though. there's a vase of flowers in the room, tall and purple and willow-y with a few fresh sunflowers added.
there's a nightstand next to the bed, along with a small shelving unit. there are all sorts of trinkets and items scattered around on these things, and on the walls themselves there are a few framed awards. she can't read what they are. there's also a watercolor of a carbuncle? the nightstand has a star-shaped alarm clock amongst the other stuff. there are drawings taped to the wall.
there's a table with a chess set as well. on the mantle of the fireplace is a steel warrior action figure that lup might find familiar. there are also. dog toys. everywhere. and treats. and a dog bed sits by the chair near the window. there are claw marks in one of the curtains and it seems like it's sliding off a little.
...most notably the room is a mess. there's clothes all over the floor, a few books and random objects scattered, sneakers are kind of kicked into a corner, and given there's a few chess pieces on the floor it's likely that they tripped into it initially.
lup might...notice the room looks very familiar to a room she's been in before, minus the mess and assorted items.]
Hey, I've been really busy. [among other things. but they do kind of kick a few clothes aside and also remove a pillow and a dog toy from one of the chairs so she can have a seat.] And I wasn't expecting guests. I cleaned up what I could.
[ ... off to the restaurant, kitchen, wherever they go then! gu yun doesn't seem particularly relaxed considering. everything, but he does reach up to the back of his head to pull his hair out of that bun so it falls into a loose braid, instead. ]
[ stop this is the first time you don't have to have restraint. he smiles, peach blossom eyes crinkling at the corners. ]
I was growing very, very tired of wearing that thing. [ easier to joke lightheartedly instead of thinking about the doom of the nightman any time now ] In more ways than one. I'll likely ditch this and return to my armor later in the evening, once I've gotten a moment.
[ weh. his expression softens a little, and he turns his head to look at her more properly. ]
Even now, that you try to protect us... [ affectionate, though he trails off. ] We'll be alright. Each of us has abilities - even I have things up my sleeve beyond what I do normally. Truthfully, there has always been a chance that we would have been uncovered, so we're not completely unprepared.
It's not the ideal situation to be in, but it means that perhaps it will enable us a chance to keep him distracted so you all can execute whatever is necessary to get to all the participants to the lobby.
-- Yeah, actually, since when can you heal people.
[ear flick. and then, more seriously:] You know I don't like that. This isn't going to end until the guy is dead, I'm not going to just stand here and watch him snap you all into dust like how the UWU did to us, and I'm not about to let this whole set up just keep going.
I've been in my room way too much this entire stay. We can walk. I don't mind. With everything else going on...eyes are probably elsewhere at the moment anyway.
That's fair. [a beat.] I just wanted to make sure you weren't alone. You don't have to show up, but if you wanted to stay with me and whatever gang I pull together, I'd like it.
