[the further they walk, it will soon become extremely obvious to them that the town is abandoned. there are no signs of life. some of the buildings appear to be open, but others are locked and boarded up. of the ones they can see, they will recognize what appears to be a convenience store, a post office, and in the distance a radio tower which aikawa can see on account of being tall.
as they approach the bulletin board, they will find a few things:
-a map! this map shows the entire layout of lotus island despite the wear and tear of the map itself. perhaps they would like to review it. -old flyers advertising fun activities such as beach bonfires, nature hikes, and cave spelunking. -three portable radios that look similar to this hanging from the bottom. -missing persons posters of aruji, biyoo, and nikaido.]

jiji wanders to the post office and is immediately greeted by an absolutely terrible amount of dust! there are a few piles of mail, along with those same missing posters and what looks like a few packages. the tape is peeling, and the names have been worn away, but they are there. the post office doesn't seem like it's been operational for a while actually, but jiji can break the law and look at them if he wants.]

jiji now has a very nice hat that is probably not being worn correctly. some of the tags are still visible, which means that jiji will see the boxes have names starting with B and one box has a name ending in ng. looking at lotus's branding though, the return address appears to be western stylization.
