meanwhile over in whatever the hell is going on here...waving the candy at a box does not work because the box does not have eyes. aikawa now looks rather silly waving candy at a box as it runs around in the post office and clucks in its distress.

jiji can have all of these items because you are all very insistent on stealing other people's things. the addresses appear to be smeared and some are torn in places, but he can open a letter!

the first bits of it are a little hard to make out, but he will see part of it.

[ Well. This may as well happen. Aikawa is wearing a gas mask and cap combo so it’s not like he’s gonna get scratched in the face but one of them chicken feets bonks him anyway and his hat almost falls off his head. But now he has a chicken sandwiched between his big ol’ hands. ]

I don't recognise either of those items though, so I dunno.

[ Actually edits this to say he probably does recognise one of those items but it doesn't click immediately because... why the hell is it here he doesn't know yet. Tucks this chicken under his arm Like The Football. ]

[there are the stairs. they can take those! they seem to lead up into the cliffsides but it's difficult to see what might beyond the rocks. or they can attempt to get to the radio tower traveling up a different path onward.]

[ He listens in total silence and some level of nonchalance to this radio speech. He seems to show no recognition to its contents, but no particular questions to be had, either. ]

Sounds lame... but maybe, yeah, the radio tower. Unless we find something a whole lot more interesting on the way there, it's the only landmark we've got. Right?

I don't mind going up something rocky, but if we wanna play it safe 'cause it's, you know, kinda foggy...

[the stairs lead up to a rocky path, and then there’s the path they were initially on before they got derailed by looting the shit out of everything. jiji will find that the radio is not a walkie talkie, but there is a nob he can use to tune it if he wants. you know. for a laugh.

the rocky path actually isn’t too rocky. the fog looks a little thinned now, giving them more room to see and notice that the path is against the cliffside. walkable, but they should be careful as they go up.

bob-chan-san clucks in aikawa’s hands. the radio tower is visible solely for the sake of being tall, but it doesn’t exactly look close. as in if they take either of these paths, they will still have to walk and explore further, so yeah. Rocky or smooth, this are your choices.]

The fog can make it a bit dangerous, especially if we happen to lose our footing. Wouldn't really want to risk one of us slipping on the cliffside.

[ This would be different if he had his other form but... he doesn't want to super take that chance.

so, he is leaning more on taking it safe. and yet... hmmm. ]

It doesn't seem as bad as it could be but if both paths possibly take the same amount of time then it won't matter too much.

Hmm... Though I do not possess certainty, some of the paths moving more smoothly indicate a few fences... While it may be possible for us to pass over together, venturing along the stairs might ultimately be simpler.

[and so they begin walking toward the stairs. as they begin to climb, they find that the rocky slope beneath their feet gives way to a few loose pebbles, the path growing more narrow and steep as they climb. they will have to climb one by one, but as they reach the first landing they come across what looks like a small cluster of houses.

a few of them have lights on, but most of them appear vacant. the cliffside runs high, shielding these houses from the wind and fog brushing against it. to their right there is a large gate with a lock on it.

i suppose they could try to also loot these houses, or they can explore and check out the cliff itself, rock formations, look back at the sea, etc. the radio crackles and whines, signal for 102.3 temporarily lost.]

[ me awake at 4am because my cat is an asshole that screamed in my face to feed him.

anyways, Dokja does glance in direction of the houses once they reach the first landing and goes for a peek. I actually don't want ty to suffer in running insanely about so Dokja here will only glimpse from the windows inside for anything useful. or even something informative.

but if it doesn't seem worth exploring inside, he will go check out this large gate with a LOCK? in my 2022 murdergame cyoa? how dare. ]

[he'll go look back at the sea while kdj fiddles with the lock though. is there any sign of their long departed ferry - or if he looks down, anything in the cliffside below? body? "this isn't friday inves" BODY?]

I think technology is trying to tell us we're in spook time.

[ Radios dying out is never a good thing!! Aikawa will take a look into the nearest building or two, either through the window or if the door is unlocked, opening it after a short knock.

Heeellooooooo? I dare not disappoint Ty's expectations so he'll be looking for anything interesting, anything that can either be survivalist helpful or will hint anything to help them get their bearings. ]
