We may as well start here since it's behind us. And then work our way through. It won't be for long either.

[and so they will enter fall dorm. the description is

The inside of the dorm is cozy and comfortable with color schemes of reds, oranges, olives, and browns. Even with a few fireplaces going, the temperature is always moderate; just warm enough to not freeze, but just cool enough to be able to snuggle in the many nice blankets. Autumn leaves on brown cord drape down from most of the main ceilings, and students can run their fingers through the ends if they stretch high enough.

There aren't any portraits on the walls here, only rustic and autumn-inspired landscapes whose green summer is fading into the oncoming darkness of winter. The aesthetic is gently vintage, but not ancient. Somehow, even the bit of skip in timeline feels like a piece of home.

Each suite follows a more gothic theme with bedding and curtains: dark, rich wood with black sheets and pillows. But all students, of course, have current amenities.

[it's a little gloomy, but it's suitable. they climb upstairs and they begin to poke around in the bedrooms out of curiosity.]

In the Spring dorm, I assume?

Mmhm. With uh... Molly. I think.

[a beat.] And Claude? I have not asked anybody anything because usually I mention the furby and they get caught up in asking about it.

To be completely fair, your furby is terrifying. [wandering, wandering.]

...but I don't think it's bad to ask later, after the fact.

It is also dead. [she says, absently. she has to remind herself of that, sometimes.]

Maybe I will. I don't know how much I want to know about the suffering my family went through.

...it isn't pleasant, but I think I would want to know just to be even more grateful they made it out and survived in the end. And if there was anything that changed them, or anything they might be still trying to cope with. It's best to know if...

[a pause, and then she glances up at them.]

[...there's a slight laugh that maybe doesn't quite fit what she expected.]

I won't. I can't. [but they straighten up, finally climbing up to the highest floor whether lup follows or not.

The third floor is actually a studio room, sectioned into a mini kitchen, a common area with a half wall for a bed, and a bathroom. The room itself follows the same architectural pattern the student dorms do, done in the same colors of Fall Dorm. There's also a couch on one of the walls.

There's a simple desk and chair on one side of the common area. Some books and a laptop are opened. Above the desk is a dual dry-erase and corkboard. There may have been pictures pinned there once before.

Beside the desk in the corner is a baseball equipment bag with a varsity jacket thrown over it.

Hm? Oh. No. I suppose I was simply curious what the living quarters of the dormheads looked like. I've been told that they were people whose memories had been completely replaced to perfectly integrate to the school setting.

Oh, really? [she glances around the room, and wanders over to peek at the laptop.]

Man. These places like screwing with the memories of the hosts, huh.

[the screensaver is probably on because i don't know what anna actually had on riku's laptop and i don't want to know.]

So it seems. This round may have received the worst treatment. New names, new backstories, and a deep hold within the story that made it difficult for them to break out of.

[looks at anna i don't either

she opens her mouth at that, and then abruptly closes it, ear flicking.]

I know. [she says, voice thin.] I'm not - yeah.

Have you talked to a lot of people from the school?

[...they go quiet with that. right. hm. they can't help but wonder if maybe their words don't mean nearly as much now that she's aware they're not who she thought they were.

they straighten up again, gesturing for her to follow. spring dorm awaits.]

A few. Rupert likes to try and ask too many prying questions, though Hope and I seem to have a mutual understanding.

but lup doesn't know about any of that, and so she just sighs, rubbing at her arm.]

Rupert's a good kid. He probably means well. [...] And Hope's smart. You'd think Rupert would know better than to ask prying questions, though! Considering.

I'm sure he does. He just doesn't seem to understand there are certain things we cannot be involved in, and certain things we cannot say. [. . .] And Hope is very bright.

I'm sure in time, perhaps...things will change. Rupert seems to be willfully ignorant of some requests I've made, but I've accepted it. Hope knows a bit better, or at least his approach is somewhat different.

It's, uh. It's harder to get that when you haven't experienced it.

[she says, nodding.] Being staff, I mean. There's always restrictions. [...] That's why I always ask if I'm going to get you guys in trouble. I'm usually not uh, not concerned about breaking rules, but if I did something to fuck you guys over I'd be upset.

...yeah, I figured. I can't be too hard on him for trying.

There are restrictions with every job, as I'm sure you are aware of. I don't know if there's anything we're doing that would be considered "troublesome", but we do our best to avoid speaking of ourselves too much. It isn't professional.

[she wrinkles her nose at that.]

That just sounds like NPC speak for "The Nightman would fire me and by fire me, I mean I'd die" or something. [she grumbles.]

... You're going to learn pretty fast that it doesn't really matter how much you do your job, people are still going to fight for you.
