[ it'd be so funny if everyone else spent time trying to break down doors and we just asked politely. shame i dont have an olive garden unlimited pasta pass this time. ]
[ rin and molly are left standing there for a good thirty seconds.
and then the letter reappears in molly's hands? but no aquila. there is, however, a stamp on the envelope, and there's a typewritten note on the front that says:
anyway the door swings open when molly slides the letter under the door. wow!
they're presented with a room with the lights on. several light fixtures dangle over a small, cramped room that's longer than it is wide. there are tables all along one wall, with boxes of some kind stacked on top of most of them, though one features a few objects that look like they're made out of metal. a bulletin board of some kind hanging up above them, there's a desk crammed in the distant corner, and a wall with a ladder resting against it to their left!
the floor is covered in papers and... bags? big, huge bags. they look stuffed full of something. wao
[He's going to pick the letter up off the floor that Molly slipped under the floor and inspect that first. Has it changed in any way? If not, then he'll stuff it in his pocket and go along with diving into those huge bags.]
If we're supposed to 'deliver it', maybe we gotta play mailmen for everyone.
[ im in tears. you all successfully delivered the letter! it is in the mailroom!! there is no aquila here.
into the bags first! they are full of... letters! you can't tell what they are, but there are so many letters in here. they're mostly on regular paper, but occasionally some are on crumbling, older paper. none of the letters are readable at all, and more papers litter the floor. occasionally, you can make out a "dear" or a "sincerely" but that's it. but there are sure a shitload of letters everywhere!
the bulletin board has several papers pinned to it - also unreadable - but many of them are connected by some kind of red string? there are some polaroids here too, but they're all faded and impossible to see. wow!]
Well, he'll dig through the old letters for a bit to see if there is anything readable before moving onto the boxes stacked on the table? anything in there? ]
[Rin will go over to the boxes too, and he's going for the box with metal stuff sticking out of it first. He's like a bird, he's distracted by shiny things. What are these metal things?]
[ nothing readable! the boxes are full of paper, envelopes, and other varying supplies for letter writing. there are so many of them.
the box with the metal stuff has a few little machines in it - there's an addresseograph, and a postal scale! they're old and made of heavy iron, but they both appear to be very functional. ]
anyway the plates just say STARLIGHT HOTEL and that is it!
as molly makes his way to the desk, he will see it contains... more letter supplies! there's a neat stack of envelopes here, some papers, a roll of stamps, and a variety of colors and types of pens, all chained to the desk like you might find at the bank. there's an antique typewriter and a phone as well, like there is in every other room.
of biggest and most important note, above the desk is a piece of paper, framed in a nice gold frame. it says the following in typewritten font.
To have mail delivered, write the addressee’s name on the envelope and place it in the slot of the letter box with a stamp. Please check mailboxes frequently to prevent overflow. - Staff.
there's also a big metal thing kind of near the desk, to molly's right. ]

[He's going to immediately test this out. On a living person first, not a dead person. He doesn't want to break anything immediately so he'll write a letter addressed to Hua Cheng. The letter says "HEY FAFA WE FOUND THE MAILROOM" and then has a drawing of a stick man surrounded by blue fire and a purple stick man with horns standing there smiling widely with a bag labeled 'LETTERS' between them. This he shoves in an envelope, addresses said envelope to Hua Cheng, and shoves in the mail slot.]

aquila is silent for a long moment once they reach it. and then, they step past the other two and reach out and touch the door, then the plaque.

Should ... Should I be worried about that?
[ HELLO? I guess shooting a look at Rin, that IS slightly worried, and then just. Walkin' through the door I guess. Nothin' else to do about it. ]

the door is still locked so molly walks into the door face first. bonk.
nothing about the letter has changed. just the fact that it says DELIVER IT on it now. ]
