mom said she'd be back this weekend, but she got stuck late at work again, so whatever. why does it matter if i accepted this job or not? i bet she won't even notice that i'm gone.

my coworkers are mostly annoying, though. you think if I got rid of them and did their jobs and mine, the nightman might give me another job after this for being so efficient?

anyway! as they're trying to open other images on the desktop... the computer glitches out, then bluescreens. it begins to restart itself, the desktop loads up, it tries to reopen the first text file -
for the first text file, it reads:
Error! File corrupted. Restore backup from [a mishmash of numbers that they will have an instinctive understanding was nine weeks ago]?
...however, it bluescreens again a few seconds later, before they can click anything.

no, i'm just kidding. sebastian looks at the inside of the doors and finds a few hair accessories - some modern clips, some modern hair ties, and... these. the material looks fairly new in the image, but in this thread they're made of materials that look more like the japanese clothes - the men's kimono, hakama, and haori including the shinsengumi haori - that he saw earlier.]
oh, these are pretty. he will make note of them! and maybe do a crappy sketch to remember what they look like in case they somehow become relevant (and/or so he can maybe try to find something similar as a present for estelle someday because it is affection week and these would look very cute on her.)
should he be looking for anything else in here? anything at the bottom of the closet? anything interesting in any pockets? ]

there isn't anything in the pockets, but most of the japanese-style clothes don't really have pockets anyway. the bottom of the closet has a selection of modern-looking shoes, including some cute brown ankle booties, and old-fashioned sandals and tabi socks!]

anyway, i. hm. he will glance inside of them in case there's anything being stored in them or whatever, and will get a good look at the sandals but is probably not blindly sticking his hand into a dark bootie unless he sees something in it that looks like it warrants further investigation. ]
[(checks notes) the modern shoes don't look that much smaller than his - smaller, certainly, but not significantly so. the sandals, though smaller than them, aren't hugely smaller; it's a difference of maybe 1.5, 2 shoe sizes.
but as he is considering this in his foot mind palace, he'll hear a shadow portal opening up, and hear vulpecula's voice - "Oh, come on, Lepus! Don't be such a stick in the mud and hang out with me!" enough time has passed for yuri to have wiped the computer of prints.
