[Marie drops into a modern day apartment. It has the vibes of a Redditor bachelor. Are those two things synonymous? Anyway.
Damien is in the middle of the room, looking a little monsterified as he seems to be packing things into a suitcase. When Marie enters, however, he pauses to look at her.]
[Damien doesn't have any words for her. Instead, he pauses, before abruptly, he's throwing the entire suitcase right at her. I was about to make a joke about how you know Damien's been monsterified because that shouldn't be possible with his twink strength but I double-checked and damb he has a STR stat of 15?]
But I rolled a fucking 6 so I guess Wicked is taking that suitcase right at her. Falling to the floor and curling up immediately, forehead pressed against her knees; familiar. ]
[If her words register at all, it doesn't show on Damien's face. Slowly, he approaches, until he's standing just before her curled up form.
There doesn't seem to be any way out of this area, so you have two choices: kill Damien, like with the bosses of the previous labyrinth, or risk trying the Dispel spell on him? OR MAKE JAN SAD, I GUESS!!]
[ This is so funny. Wicked can't do anything because this is her meow meow and the idea that he might hurt or leave her is one of her biggest fears, and apparently now it's putting the fear of God into Jan.
But yeah she's using that dispel spell and grabbing that knife to stab into him.
[When Marie stabs her meow meow, it's as if everything goes black, as Marie's consciousness leaves her.
She dreams of talking to Damien. When he lets go of her hands, she's seized with the impulse to grab his back. She presses her head against the chest, trying to enjoy the comfort of having him there, when everything else in the world is so frightening right now. He puts his arms over her shoulders in the closest thing he can manage to a hug, as he reassures her: he won't die. If the two of them can manage it, they'll stay together from here on out.
In the distance, she might hear a few notes of a song playing, before it fades to quiet.
When Marie wakes up, she'll find herself at her old high school. She's cornered in a hallway, with a group of girls with cruel smiles standing before her. She's drenched in fact, and it doesn't take a genius to figure out why, seeing the bucket one of the girls holds in her hands.]
And the dream is nice -- her pathetic half got to live it. The assurance, the warmth of another person, their generosity and kindness; everything Wicked never received in her life growing up. And she strives to secure Marie that life before her real body finally wakes... when she can finally rest.
But until then, she's here.
It's familiar. Peeking from behind her now drenched bangs, expression void of any emotion. ]
[Fine. They'll let Marie go home, because they are, in fact, getting bored with this girl who has no reaction to any of this.
But when she moves to leave, she'll find Sakura waiting for her by the school gates. To walk home together, as they've done before. She looks at Marie's current state with worry.]
[And so off they go, on their usual route. They step onto the bridge that'll be all too familiar to Marie, most likely.
... Far, far too familiar. As they begin to cross, Sakura's boyfriend appears. And once more, he exposes the kind of person Marie truly is, with Sakura there, listening to it all.
And once more, he tells Marie—]
I wanted to believe that you were actually a good person. I really wanted to believe it.
Wicked -- Marie Mizuguchi is so tired of being angry, of being ashamed for being alive; of all the people cursing her to die. She had stopped believing that she was a person undeserving of any kind of affection, but that doesn't make her any less prepared to allow the better half of her to achieve that while she rests. ]
Me too.
[ She answers honestly, her smile a little somber. ]
Ah... this pisses me off... I wanna kill you -- but I can't kill you...
[Marie finds herself in a void, empty of any scenery. Again.
And in the center, flopped on the ground (?), is Damien. No monster or body horror features this time, however—he looks as he always does in Marie's memory. When he sees her, he sits up.
In Marie's hand is a knife: the same from the Dispel spell. She will know, intuitively, that to complete the spell—to see whether he can successfully cure Damien or not—she must stab him once more.
... But it doesn't look like he's here for a fight, so she doesn't need to do it immediately, if she wants a moment.]
[Damien will! Again, awkwardly, because it doesn't seem like he expected that. And once more I must remind everyone that apparently his STR stat is 15 so he's not a weakling? He can actually support her weight?]
[ How this is a sussy Damien because he has never caught her when she jumped at him.
But he’s also been working out since Crow can carry her so easily so :/ this is fine. She’ll just cling onto him like a monkey; arms and legs wrapped firmly around. ]
[ But if she just traps everyone forever. For the Damien who CAN pick her up —
Sike. She likes her men pathetic. ]
Yeah, yeah, I’ll do that. And then when we get home you owe me.
[ She’ll de-koala herself off of him. Blade in hand as she leans in to place a chaste kiss against the curve of his jaw. I was in het in Zetsu’s cyoa and now I’m het here. ]
See ya in a bit.
[ And then she just shoves that blade right into his gut. ]
[She shoves the blade into his gut. He looks mildly discomfited because he is apparently not that chill with being stabbed, but he doesn't seem to be in pain. No blood comes from this wound, as he instead disappears, fading away into the void.
Marie will find herself falling. It's hard to tell how long it goes on for, the passage of time marked only by the song from before playing again, echoing in his ears as she descends.]
PART 2 - MARIE

Looks like there's no place for either of us.

Selfishly she wants to take this moment in, but there's the presence of a suitcase and she almost feels afraid. ]
The hell does that mean?

W-Wait, hold on --
[ Fuck, fuck, fuck --
stop? Damien wouldn't do this. ]
If I did something wrong, I'm sorry -- Don't --

... You finished?
no subject
What, no reaction? You really are broken, aren't you? Like some kind of creepy doll.
no subject
That's what she did in real life -- before Mobius, before Redo, before anyone even considered to treat her as a human being.
Ah shit, she's so tired.
She's going to just attempt to pick herself up. ] Yeah, so you should be bored. Just lemme go home.

But when she moves to leave, she'll find Sakura waiting for her by the school gates. To walk home together, as they've done before. She looks at Marie's current state with worry.]
Are you okay...?

Seeing Sakura... after everything. After all she said, for turning everyone against her, to even go as far as trying to take her boyfriend... ]

[ It's still Wicked don't be fooled but --
Her demeanor shifts; poised and perfect, selfishly wanting to soak in this moment. ]
Did I keep you waiting long? Sorry!

Being stuck in this empty void kinda sucks, but at least she's not alone. ]
... I should beat your ass ten times over for throwing a suitcase at me.
no subject
Look, these things happen, okay? It's not like I actually wanted to do that to you.
[A pause, and then, awkwardly—]
You all right, though?
[He looks her over to make sure he didn't hurt her too bad with that suitcase throw.]

[ She changed her mind she's actually gonna beat his ass --
aka she's just gonna jump right on him. Will this Damien catch her!? ]
