[ ... ] There was plenty of that today, as well. Mr. Okumura certainly... and all of the revelations at the end of the night, really, would be a heaviness in their own right.

The losses this week are quite damaging, and the revelations just as difficult to swallow for some.

I imagine it will take time to recover.

.... just as someone like family was taken from me, someone like family will be taken from others.

Though times like these do make me feel as though we are at war.

[ orion takes a sip of their tea, and they're somber. ]

...Today, particularly, felt like it. [ war, anyway. ] Do you feel that a cycle was fulfilled, then? In terms of loss of family? Or... that it's one that never ends?

If it is a cycle, I would like to see its end. But based on my understanding, we will have but a few more weeks left before any hope of that.

[ an agreeing noise. ]

...cycles of violence are hard to end. Human beings... humans, in general, I think, have heavy hearts.

... they are always my honor to behold. Even now, I believe that to be true.

But one cannot help but wish that some of their experiences might be just a bit less tragic.

[ orion shifts a little, letting the heavy weight of those two sentences sit on their shoulders for a moment. and then... ]

You remind me much of someone that I've known sometimes, Mikazuki.

[mikazuki's first thought, perhaps a bit ironically, is that he does not envy that person.

... They are someone who loves humanity, despite how cruel humanity has often been to them in particular. They often act in situations of great despair and hopelessness, to do what they can in their power without any care for themselves or any rules that might stop them.

[ orion huffs a little. ]

It is a painful existence, I think, but...even so, I think they're admirable.
