[she answers the door!

she has given up on her hat at this point, so her long hair is lava, and it drips, but never goes anywhere. her eyes are also starting to turn one solid color.]

[lup's lava hair and eyes get a concerned glance - which is, uh, an eerily glowing green one! the veil is still in place, but there's a green glow that is faintly visible through the veil at eye level.]

[stares into space about the green eyes and changes my fucking guess again]

It's fine, don't worry about it. [she says, sharply. wow, they didn't even say anything. a beat.] Do you play hangman in your off time?

I... don't, no. I know what the word means, but it doesn't really make sense in context.

It's like, a game? Where you have a word, and you have to guess letters to fill the spaces and get the word. And every letter you get wrong you have to draw a body part on the person in the noose, and if you draw a full person because you guessed all the wrong letters, they die and you lose.

... Yeesh, that sounds so morbid when you explain it.

[that is really morbid, yeah. the glow behind their veil vanishes for a few seconds, then reappears - almost as if they closed their eyes and then opened them again.]

I see. That doesn't really sound like a fun game, to me, but... you must have a reason you're asking.

To be fair, it's not a real person dying, but it is a little on the nose in a murder game.

The reason I'm asking is because Emet-Selch told me he found something during his excursion, so I was going to see if you knew anything about it.

[there's a pause, and they look for a second like they want to say something else, but - they end up not doing so, for now.]

[and she hands them a hangman!]

To be honest, these days we use the typewriters for so much I'm not sure whose handwriting it is...

Couldn't be easy, huh. [a little sigh.] Do you have any idea on the word? Cloud and I stared at it for like an hour and only came up with one.

Oh, uh. Uncharging. But that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense, it was just the only word we could get to fit, haha.

That doesn't really make a lot of sense to me, either... but that is a good guess! I can't think of anything else that fits.

You said Emet-Selch found it during his excursion? Did he tell you what was happening when he found it? Maybe that would give us some kind of clue.

He did not. He's like, not a huge fan of talking about what happened in there, which is understandable but not helpful.

[she just goes phbblbhththtt.] I'll talk to him again and see.

I can't really same I blame him! Those excursions are pretty unpleasant. From what I've read in the files.

...maybe he'd feel a little better talking about it after some time has passed? It's still early, after all.
