[stares into space about the green eyes and changes my fucking guess again]

It's fine, don't worry about it. [she says, sharply. wow, they didn't even say anything. a beat.] Do you play hangman in your off time?

It's like, a game? Where you have a word, and you have to guess letters to fill the spaces and get the word. And every letter you get wrong you have to draw a body part on the person in the noose, and if you draw a full person because you guessed all the wrong letters, they die and you lose.

... Yeesh, that sounds so morbid when you explain it.

To be fair, it's not a real person dying, but it is a little on the nose in a murder game.

The reason I'm asking is because Emet-Selch told me he found something during his excursion, so I was going to see if you knew anything about it.

Sure, okay. Um. Here.

[and she hands them a hangman!]

Does this look familiar to you at all?

[a beat, and then she just - sort of laughs?]

Oh, he -- they're going to be so mad, then? [her ear flicks.] It might be too late for you. Emet-Selch was going to talk to them about it.

Rest in peace. [she says, grinning a little.] Do you know who wrote this? I'm curious.

Couldn't be easy, huh. [a little sigh.] Do you have any idea on the word? Cloud and I stared at it for like an hour and only came up with one.

Oh, uh. Uncharging. But that doesn't really make a whole lot of sense, it was just the only word we could get to fit, haha.

He did not. He's like, not a huge fan of talking about what happened in there, which is understandable but not helpful.

[she just goes phbblbhththtt.] I'll talk to him again and see.

... Mmhm.

[a pause.] Well, thanks, I guess. For the context.
