HOUSEKEEPER.

HOUSEKEEPER
Today, when Harrowhark is in her bedroom, she will receive a message on her typewriter.
You didn't think you'd just get to laze around all day, did you? Get up. You've got a job to do.
Immediately after she finishes reading the message, she will feel compelled to walk into the elevator, inside which a shadowy elevator attendant appears as a guide. Once she arrives at the destination, she will find herself in a room.
It looks vaguely like a combination of office and supply closet, with shelves against one wall that have a variety of labeled boxes on them - "Cleaning Supplies," "Linens," "Poisons," "Uniforms," and so on. Normal stuff. Along the other wall, there is a desk with ink, a quill, some papers, and a few binders. Two chairs are in font of it, in case Harrowhark would like to take a seat.
Vulpecula is standing by the entrance, their arms crossed, and they give a little huff as she passes through the entryway.
"About time. Okay, let's make this quick, before anyone notices you're gone."
They procure a few pages that are bound together, then flip to the very last one and hold it out to her. It's labeled PARTICIPATION CONTRACT: ADDENDUM.
"Read this over and familiarize yourself with it. This isn't a negotiation, so you'll either sign it or you won't - but if you won't, you might not like what happens next."
RULES
1. Once a week, after at least one murder has been committed but before the discovery of the victim (or victims), you will perform housekeeping duties.
2. These duties will be performed in exchange for THE BODY's safety. If these duties are not performed, THE BODY shall be wiped from existence.
3. Prior to the murder(s), you will choose three (3) guests whose personal rooms you will visit. This choice will be communicated to Vulpecula, who will ensure that you are granted access to these rooms.
4. On Thursday night, you will be responsible for searching your three chosen rooms for any evidence that the occupant may have committed a murder. Any such evidence must be deposited in the housekeeper's cart in the Housekeeping Room.
5. You must select a minimum of one belonging from each room to put into the housekeeper's cart, whether evidence of a murder is found or not. You may select more than one item from each room if you wish.
6. Once you have made your selections, be sure to clean the rooms thoroughly, change out the linens, and make the beds. Be sure to include a mint on the pillow. Customer service is key!
7. You may encounter a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on one or more doors in the course of your duties. If that is the case, you will not be able to enter, but will still be given credit for performing your duty in that room.
8. You are not to disclose that you are performing these duties. Discussing them with anyone other than authorized Hotel Staff will be considered breach of contract and will result in the destruction of THE BODY.

WEEK 3
TALK TO VULPECULA

Good morning. I have a mind to choose Rin and Kim Dokja, to confirm whether either of them is acting again if they were the ones who killed Alphinaud.
Does that make sense to you, or would it be a waste. I suppose I can also take a look and see if either have boots missing…

[they sound happy to see her! or at least, it sounds like they're smiling, in that you-can-hear-it-in-their-voice way.]
The decision is entirely yours. If you have a reason to want to check either one of them, it's not really my place to stop you.
no subject
I assume you cannot tell me whether last week’s culprit is still possessed.
no subject
[we don't know what's in there unless you pick someone and then we ask, so we can't really say!]
And... no, I can't, I'm sorry.

You have a point. You really think it was one of them, then?

DILUC'S ROOM:
His bed is made, though messily, and the desk is a mess of papers and unfinished letters (preemptively: she won't be able to read them while looking around; it's one of those things she gets a sense that she may need to look at during a trial if it ends up in the housekeeper's cart). His welcome gift box is sitting on the desk; it is closed. There is a single ticket sitting on his desk.
KIM DOKJA'S ROOM:
His room is clean and organized!! Bed is made, nothing really out of place except maybe a small blanket left on the floor beside the bed. A blank notepad and pen are on his desk, along with his welcome gift box, which is closed.
RIN'S ROOM:
The bed is not made and dirty clothes are thrown in a pile in the corner of the room. There are several volumes of generic shoujo manga stacked on his desk at any given time, but the exact volumes change as he reads them and exchanges them with new ones from the library. There's also dirty plates and cups on his desk, since he doesn't take them back right away whoops. On his shelf is a stack of Polaroids, which are most of the ones he's gotten coming back from the revolving door worlds. Lots of cute animals here as well as some other stupid shit like clothes or food.
Also, three shadowy figures are sleeping in this room, but it's impossible to tell who they are. A sleeping wolverine and a sword are next to one of the shadowy figures.

Dokja's room - She will take stock of how many outfits he has in the closet, and whether he has the same number of outfits versus shoes. Also whether any of his outfits are brown. She will look in his welcome box, desk drawers, closet, under the bed and under the mattress and pillow for anything odd.
Rin's room - She will look at the dirty clothes and the clothes in the closet and again see if there's the same amount of outfits as there are pairs of shoes. She will see what type of shoes Rin typically wears. She will look in his closet, desk drawers, under his bed and mattress for anything unusual.

In Dokja's room, she will find these two outfits in his closet. I was not given any notes about a discrepancy in the number of shoes. His welcome box contains a flask, keychain, compact mirror and a sheet of temporary tattoos. There isn't anything of note in his desk drawers, closet, under the bed and mattress, or in the pillow.
In Rin's room, she will find his clothes (no specifics given to me) mixed in with the dirty laundry pile. I wasn't given any notes about discrepancies re: clothes vs shoes. In his drawer are some letters he's written (which likewise she can't read now), his tickets (I wasn't given the exact number of them but if you have more of an interest I can check). Pillow, under his bed, and under his mattress have nothing of note.

She will also leave a pair of shoes that look similar to Diluc's but are from the costume shop and not the exact same size; there is smeared blood on the heal of one of the shoes. She will leave that in the housekeeping cart with the rest of the items.

Diluc's single ticket is gone. Is she only taking a single ticket from Rin, or should I Maple that all of them are gone/ask for a more concrete count?
For the shoes being left in the housekeeping cart, are they slightly too big or slightly too small for Diluc?
no subject
Just take one from Maple.

I'm still laughing at the panty raid.
