INTEREST CHECK

Every now and then, the lights from the crystal chandeliers above you flicker on and off. A chilly breeze blows through the lobby, though there are no open doors or windows. Keys hang from hooks behind the front desk, and as the remnants of a hazy dream begin to fade away you’ll find that you aren’t alone. It seems as though everyone’s arrived to check in…

Welcome to our interest check for

suitedreams, an upcoming murdergame set to open June 3rd. This will be a murder mystery game intended to accommodate between 35 - 40 players.*

Suite Dreams is a game where all of the characters involved have been in a murdergame before. Everyone has had the opportunity to return to their homes and leave their previous games. Some characters may find themselves turning right back around to come here while others have had the opportunity to live peacefully for a few months. Regardless of their current history, they’ll all have at least one person they want to save and be willing to play the game to free their hostage and return to their happily ever afters.

HIGHLIGHTS

With that introduction to pique your curiosity, here are some highlights to keep in mind:

✦ Characters can either appear in-game immediately after their farewell log from their previous game, after their game has concluded and at a later canonpoint, or incorporating post-game PSL/meme history. Characters cannot, however, appear at an earlier canonpoint than they were apped.

✧ Characters who are apping should be characters who have a hostage or two they would be willing to play to save. Characters have, to some degree, ICly agreed to participate in order to save their hostage. As this is a core mechanic of the game, please do not app someone who would be ambivalent to the hostage mechanic. Hostages may be either canonmates or previous gamemates, so long as said-gamemate is not apping into the game itself.

✦ Tentatively there is not a current age limit being enforced for applications. This, of course, will be re-addressed on a case-by-case basis to make sure that, considering the nature of the game, player comfort isn't sacrificed in the spirit of creative freedom. Likewise, characters of any origin, shape, or form may be applied to this game, so long as there's a way that they can be killed. If you're unsure of what you may have in mind, feel free to ask!

✧ Powers will be nerfed upon a character's arrival. While your character may have had powers available to them in their original game, they will not have them upon arrival.

✦ Character cast caps are set at four per canon. However, we do not have a strict cast cap per game, though this may be subject to change based on interest and number of options.

✧ This game will operate both on RNG'd killers and on murder proposals. There may be some bribes, situations and ultimatums that come up that challenge characters and push them into doing the unthinkable.

✦ With that in mind, while it's easier to have a character that would be a little bloodthirsty and ready to kill, this is not entirely necessary! Characters should have some negative qualities to draw from, but others are fine as long as you can come up with a reason for them to kill. All that we ask is that your character has at least one or two things that could sway them into killing should the need arise.

This game will run on an invite-only basis. If you received an invite from Britt, Jan, Sisi or Ty, you're golden. At this point, we think it is unlikely there will be many +1 slots, if any. We will announce in the server if we are going to be open to taking +1s, and if you’re unsure please feel free to ask us in a group DM.

Concerns: None really, I think I'm going to slightly canon update him for aesthetic purposes (he's gone back to black hair in the manga, so) and give him some time to visit others before arriving here. I need to decide exactly what's happened to him though. BTW if you want to say our characters hung out for a bit between Chasma and CRAU 2 just let me know, I'm cool with that.
