At a brief glance, it looks like there's nothing of immediate use: no ledges, no windows, no doors on the opposite side that might indicate an exit out the back. There's just him, this low-ceiling hall and these rows of presumably bedroom bunker doors. What's the move...]

After the clang of that heavyass oodachi hitting the ground, Aikawa will hear some sleepy voices confusedly sounding out in an unintelligible way from farther behind him. Since it's essentially the darkness in here for now, he won't be able to tell where exactly it's coming from, or if it's from behind multiple doors or just one.
However! The door busts open soon, flooding the room with very weak candlelight because these guys still need to SEE. Wow, night battles must have been so convenient in the 1800s.
Anyway, unsurprisingly perhaps, Kronk 1 is the first to bust through because he apparently doesn't have enough of a braincell to be cautious of this guy with a whole oodachi. He literally just throws the door open, shouting:]

Or maybe just dealing with his KO'dness, considering he's out like a wholeass, broken-nosed light.
The bad news is, Kronk 1 absolutely lets out the most hellacious-sounding YAGH as his face is neatly pummeled, which causes a stir in more than a few of the surrounding rooms. Also, Kronk 2 is not unconscious and thus immediately starts yelling!]

[Uh-oh, now there's scrambling and yelling and definitely the sounds of a few doors opening from further in the hall.]

Just in time, too, because even more doors are opening and now there's the definite sound of many frantic feet zippin across the floor in Aikawa's direction. There are shouts of "STOP, INTRUDER!!", the sound of metal as swords unsheathe, and also one guy just wholeass throws his sword like a javelin in Aikawa's direction. What is happening with this group of soldiers.]

There is in fact a pile-up of Kronks happening back here, especially because Kronk 2 has to trip a few of his own comrades so they won't accidentally trample Kronk 1's unconscious body. He's yelling and pointing to Go catch that intruder, dammit!! in Aikawa's direction, but only two or three soldiers actually seem like they might catch up, depending.
Aikawa gets to the door and opens it. Outside, the rain has been beating down on the grounds for quite some time now, so the dirt is now mud and the grass is damp and soggy. Once he's out the door, he'll see the same sight as before: trees surrounding him from all sides, the path that he had come up, and the fenced dirt field and watchtower which are now both to his right.
Also, his shiny oodachi has been left behind in the hive of soldiers. Tragic. At least he still has his shovel!]

The sword that's sticking out of him like one of those little cocktail olive toothpicks is just a regular uchigatana-sized blade, which means it will probably be clownishly small in the hands of a guy who's almost 7 feet tall. It's fine, though, probably.
The Kronks comedically crash into the closed door, with someone yelling MY LEG like that Spongebob fish. Two of the men manage to open it fairly quickly, though they've lost their third comrade to the door war (dwar) now. They scamper out into the darkness; the moon is entirely obscured by cloud cover and their candles don't cast light very far. One turns around to go get more efficient torches, while the other darts out into the darkness to see if they can catch sight of the intruder. Unfortunately, about fifteen men pour out of the building shortly after to start scouring the grounds, too.
The watchtower is just here, vibing. It's a very rudimentary sort of structure about thirty feet high, built entirely of wood and other highly flammable materials. There's one staircase leading from the bottom up through the center of the tower and toward the platform overhead that overlooks the grounds. Further beyond it is the fenced dirt area, and beyond that is another swath of forest.]

Aikawa will head towards that watchtower I guess I am reading your words and having a bad feeling but in Aikawa's state it makes sense so I am climbing up this thing. Onto the platform, and grumbling as he will also pull the uchigatana out from behind him -- as much as they say it's better to leave a blade lodged in, he feels a long sword sticking out from him is probably a bit more trouble than it's worth. Can he perhaps try to snap this...? Either by jamming it into something or by stepping onto it and yanking to snap it. So it's a little down to size, like a terrible makeshift knife. He'll deal with the injury later.
Mentally he's cursing himself for them all talking like hey we don't have Virgo and therefore no healing and blah blah. He hopes this is just a stupid nightmare, but it's way too different from his usual to be it... also his back now hurts.
He will try to squint into the dark and see what he can from here though. What that patch of dirt. Also trying to keep an eye out for his pursuers. ]

Up the watchtower he goes! There are places to lodge a sword like the planks that make up the floor of this bird's nest, but that probably isn't solid enough to snap a sword without at least a little foot help. Between the leverage of the board and pressure from stepping on it, though, the sword will break and Aikawa will immediately end up on the shitlist of every Touken Ranbu. He now has a nifty terrible makeshift knife, though! The top five inches stay embedded in the planks of the floor, and he's left with the hilt and remainder of the blade.
From up here, he'll see several things.
1) The bird's nest itself is mostly empty, save an apparently abandoned Chassepot rifle and a partially opened knapsack with some food sticking out. Wow, this unit is sloppy as hell.
2) The dirt field is actually quite large, about triple the size of the barracks. It's hard to make out much detail in the dark, but this close and this high up, the faint smell of organic decay and blood wafts to Aikawa on the wind blowing from that direction.
3) The majority of the pursuers head out in the direction of the forest where Aikawa had first come from, with a few others heading to the forest left of the building and the dirt field right of the building.
4) This is the watchtower, so of course some people are heading over to use it in order to Spot! That! Fugitive! Except it's a pretty small watchtower, so only two guards are heading this way, trailed by a third who's holding a brighter torch.]
[ It's okay, a knife can be a sword too guys... :( But yeah that's fine, he will kick over the five inches because he feels like a blade sticking out from the ground is probably not good.
He grimaces about this, but... well, he SUPPOSES. alright, he'll just have to keep an eye on that dirt patch then. He would actually like to take this food with him but it'll have to wait a hot second.

The blade is kicked over and now lying flat on the floor! The food is lying there, ripe for the taking. Torch guy moves to overtake the other two soldiers, who turn to stand at the base of the tower so they can keep watch at ground level. The one with the torch goes up the stairs alone, and from where Aikawa is camping, he'll be able to see straight down into the center of the tower and the stairs that wind through it.
It seems the man making his way up doesn't have his blade out. He's likely merely coming to light the watchtower torch.

He's yelling and pointing to Go catch that intruder, dammit!! in Aikawa's direction, but only two or three soldiers actually seem like they might catch up, depending.
Aikawa gets to the door and opens it. Outside, the rain has been beating down on the grounds for quite some time now, so the dirt is now mud and the grass is damp and soggy. Once he's out the door, he'll see the same sight as before: trees surrounding him from all sides, the path that he had come up, and the fenced dirt field and watchtower which are now both to his right.
Also, his shiny oodachi has been left behind in the hive of soldiers. Tragic. At least he still has his shovel!]

And yeah rip his oodachi but he's not a big sword guy anyway, it would've slowed him down SINCE HE HAS A SWORD STUCK IN HIM ANYWAYS. He wheezes a little and looks around the area... lordt... ]

[ He manages emphatically, as he slams the door back behind him. And makes his way towards the watchtower first. He only mildly regrets making fun of those guys earlier now that he's been stabbed for real. ]

The sword that's sticking out of him like one of those little cocktail olive toothpicks is just a regular uchigatana-sized blade, which means it will probably be clownishly small in the hands of a guy who's almost 7 feet tall. It's fine, though, probably.
The Kronks comedically crash into the closed door, with someone yelling MY LEG like that Spongebob fish. Two of the men manage to open it fairly quickly, though they've lost their third comrade to the door war (dwar) now. They scamper out into the darkness; the moon is entirely obscured by cloud cover and their candles don't cast light very far. One turns around to go get more efficient torches, while the other darts out into the darkness to see if they can catch sight of the intruder. Unfortunately, about fifteen men pour out of the building shortly after to start scouring the grounds, too.
The watchtower is just here, vibing. It's a very rudimentary sort of structure about thirty feet high, built entirely of wood and other highly flammable materials. There's one staircase leading from the bottom up through the center of the tower and toward the platform overhead that overlooks the grounds. Further beyond it is the fenced dirt area, and beyond that is another swath of forest.]

Aikawa will head towards that watchtower I guess I am reading your words and having a bad feeling but in Aikawa's state it makes sense so I am climbing up this thing. Onto the platform, and grumbling as he will also pull the uchigatana out from behind him -- as much as they say it's better to leave a blade lodged in, he feels a long sword sticking out from him is probably a bit more trouble than it's worth. Can he perhaps try to snap this...? Either by jamming it into something or by stepping onto it and yanking to snap it. So it's a little down to size, like a terrible makeshift knife. He'll deal with the injury later.
Mentally he's cursing himself for them all talking like hey we don't have Virgo and therefore no healing and blah blah. He hopes this is just a stupid nightmare, but it's way too different from his usual to be it... also his back now hurts.
He will try to squint into the dark and see what he can from here though. What that patch of dirt. Also trying to keep an eye out for his pursuers. ]

Up the watchtower he goes! There are places to lodge a sword like the planks that make up the floor of this bird's nest, but that probably isn't solid enough to snap a sword without at least a little foot help. Between the leverage of the board and pressure from stepping on it, though, the sword will break and Aikawa will immediately end up on the shitlist of every Touken Ranbu. He now has a nifty terrible makeshift knife, though! The top five inches stay embedded in the planks of the floor, and he's left with the hilt and remainder of the blade.
From up here, he'll see several things.
1) The bird's nest itself is mostly empty, save an apparently abandoned Chassepot rifle and a partially opened knapsack with some food sticking out. Wow, this unit is sloppy as hell.
2) The dirt field is actually quite large, about triple the size of the barracks. It's hard to make out much detail in the dark, but this close and this high up, the faint smell of organic decay and blood wafts to Aikawa on the wind blowing from that direction.
3) The majority of the pursuers head out in the direction of the forest where Aikawa had first come from, with a few others heading to the forest left of the building and the dirt field right of the building.
4) This is the watchtower, so of course some people are heading over to use it in order to Spot! That! Fugitive! Except it's a pretty small watchtower, so only two guards are heading this way, trailed by a third who's holding a brighter torch.]

He grimaces about this, but... well, he SUPPOSES. alright, he'll just have to keep an eye on that dirt patch then. He would actually like to take this food with him but it'll have to wait a hot second.
He will camp this watchtower and let those guys come to him real quick. ]

The blade is kicked over and now lying flat on the floor! The food is lying there, ripe for the taking. Torch guy moves to overtake the other two soldiers, who turn to stand at the base of the tower so they can keep watch at ground level. The one with the torch goes up the stairs alone, and from where Aikawa is camping, he'll be able to see straight down into the center of the tower and the stairs that wind through it.
It seems the man making his way up doesn't have his blade out. He's likely merely coming to light the watchtower torch.
