[as sieg gets nice and cozy in the dream suite, a few moments later he'll find himself in a blank space. for a moment, he's alone. but the next time he blinks he'll see a person standing in front of him. it's a figure in a staff uniform, brushing off their sleeve a little before standing a little taller. the name tag reads aquarius.]

...ah. I was beginning to wonder if we'd ever hear from you.

[ercnerd]

[He's technically asleep, and he's already so tired.]

You can thank Souji for that. He's the one who suggested that I talk to you.

[Rascal.]

That doesn't surprise me. He's a little too nosy for his own good sometimes. [but they don't sound bothered by this.] It's nice to see you though...even though we haven't really had a chance to speak before now.

[ercnerd]

[Nosy is one word.]

Mm, nice to see you. . . . So? What made him name you out of everyone else?

[guestservices]

I'm not even really sure. Your name might've come up in passing. Guest relations, you know? I like to keep an eye out for all of our guests...even the deceased.

[ercnerd]

He kicked up a big fuss about how you'd be a good place to start . . .

[Not that Sieghart wants to start anything.]

Can you even see what we're up to? Or is that just Virgo?

[guestservices]

[there's a snort.]

Of course he did...most of our updates come from Virgo though, and I'm sure you've met them. So you can kind of guess how that actually goes for us.

[ercnerd]

You may as well not be receiving anything.

[Well, he can't discredit Virgo too much. There's obvious effort and a certain degree of shyness, as far as he can tell. But Virgo is also kind of deranged.]

I knew you'd understand. [haha.] I guess I like hearing things from people myself anyway instead of relying on a second source of information.

[ercnerd]

Doesn't Souji tell you?

[guestservices]

Souji counts as a second source of info, you know.

[ercnerd]

Most of my time is spent with him.

[Knowing what a social butterfly Souji is, he can't say that the opposite holds true.]

Whatever he says is bound to be the truth.

[guestservices]

Sooo if I said he's told me you've cried yourself to sleep every night since you got here and he wanted someone to come by and cheer you up, that'd be true?

[this is not even remotely close to what souji said, but, a point.]

[ercnerd]

[Inwardly he has probably cried himself to sleep more than once.]

Souji may be a liar when it suits him, but he's too sincere to make something like that up.

[jae wtf NO THAT'S SAD STOP THIS.]

I didn't really ever think of him as a liar to begin with, so now I feel like I've just learned something new.

[ercnerd]

[No actual tears were shed. He sleeps so much, because he's depression napping.]

Everyone lies, but it turns out that he's something of a rascal. He'll insist if it gets him what he wants.

So what I'm hearing is that the two of you have been getting along pretty okay since you arrived.

[ercnerd]

The circumstances behind his presence are unusual, but he's a good addition to the mansion.

[guestservices]

Good to know. I'm not really sure you guys could get rid of each other even if you wanted to. You're all sort of stuck.

[they fold their arms over their chest.]

He's been telling me a little about how you guys are spending your time. Something about gardens and monsters under the bed?

[ercnerd]

[He cants his head. "Sort of"?]

You've got the gist of it. Just like at the daycare, we have something to do every week.

[guestservices]

It's funny. I haven't read all of the files or anything, but I don't really know a lot about the places you guys were kept. Don't tell me it was a literal daycare...

[ercnerd]

It was. We didn't have proper food for weeks, and our change of clothes was geared toward that demographic. There wasn't a lot of room at first, either.

[guestservices]

That...sounds like a health code violation waiting to happen. But then again, maybe death doesn't care about stuff like that.

[ercnerd]

Death may not, but even the Underworld has better living standards for the dead. It's a miracle the bear managed to survive on the daycare's portions.

[guestservices]

[sieg can't see their face, but he will get the sense they are raising an eyebrow.]

Been to the Underworld recently? And why was the bear with you?
