Kazu pulls out the summoning paper, and his little green friend pops out! Fortunately he picked the one that's easiest to command so it does seem like it will listen even with that low of a roll. So the little green man scrambles over to the door while Estelle and Sylvain brace themselves.
Bucky meanwhile has reached the controls and grabbed the speed lever, which he is able to pull! but at the same time the wheel suddenly starts turning to the left and right rapidly, shaking the tram back and forth. Estelle and Sylvain are alright, but as for the others...

The green man is fine and grabs onto the door to keep itself from being flung around. It even manages to wiggle its way between the doors! Everyone will be able to see plants growing between the doors, cracking them slowly.
Bucky is once again thrown around, and it's only his grip on the throttle lever that keeps him from falling over entirely. In such a small space he's going to get bruised up from hitting the various components (the seat, the walls, etc.), but he'll live.
Kazu, though. Poor, sweet Kazu.
He is thrown completely off-balance by the side-to-side motions and has completely lost control of his movements. He slams into one wall, and then gets flung to the other as the tram pitches violently in the other direction. He goes flying towards the door with all the plants growing on it.
Right then, as Kazu is falling towards the door, the green man grows enough to pop the doors off entirely, leaving that side of the tram open.

Yeah he's going right out that door. It's a fall of about five feet, right onto tracks and rocks, all while going about 20 miles an hour at this point. Bucky slowing the tram down is honestly what saves Kazu from breaking his neck outright, but this is going to hurt. A lot.]
[Estelle's safely braced herself, but she looks back with horror when Kazunari just flies right out of there.]
KAZUNARI!!
[She screams after him, but it's Bucky who gives chase.
It takes a few seconds to gather her wits, but Bucky's words finally register and she runs for the controls to grab that brake. She might need a hand with it.]
[ there's just like half a second to appreciate the little green dude before it all goes wrong, but he does! thanks little guy, you're a pal!
and then the world is topsy turvy. he slams into one wall with a grunt of pain, and then the floor just... disappears as he's thrown the door, flailing wildly and trying to catch onto those plants. but of course, he fails, and out he goes to hit the ground hard and roll with the velocity of it.
the fall knocks the air right out of his lungs, and by the time he comes to a stop, he's too stunned to move. looks like he can cross stunt double off his career list. ]
[ shit! fuck!! bucky goes after kazu, and sylvain goes after the brake with estelle. he'll grab onto whatever part of the lever she isn't holding, and try to wrestle it into place ]
Luckily Bucky can jump from the moving tram car and land without hurting himself. Which is good because Kazu is right there all injured and stuff. Go save your normie, Bucky. Speaking of which Kazu, you've definitely got some scratches on whatever exposed skin you have right now thanks to all the rocks and gravel by the train tracks, as well as bruising wherever you hit the ground. Breathing is going to be difficult for now.
Meanwhile, Estelle and Sylvain have grabbed the lever and brought the tram to a stop. Congrats! But uh, all the electrical components in the driver's compartment are starting to spark up and smoke. This might get dangerous fast, getting out of there might be a good idea.
Also, the green man is jumping off the train and waddling over to Kazu. See? It helped! It's such a great helper! Praise it for how helpful it is.]
Anyway Bucky will sprint to grab Kazu and just lift our noodle normie up and haul him over his shoulder like a wet rag, and then start sprinting back to the train. ]
... And now it's sparking and smoking. Estelle looks to Sylvain, eyes wide.]

[Time to leave!!! Estelle's gonna run out after the green man and look out to where Bucky's approaching them, trying to make out Kazunari's condition.]
[ help why is he being treated like a sack of potatoes this HURTS. he wheezes a breath and squints up at the train, but it's hard to make much out while bucky's thrown him over his shoulder. he thinks he sees white and pink? maybe a teensy flash of green? ]

[ thank you little green man. wheezes some more. ]
[ meanwhile, sylvain is scrambling after estelle to get tf out of that tram and regroup. (he sees both kazu and bucky moving around outside—that's a good sign at least...) ]
And Estelle and Sylvain avoid being dead too, thanks to their quick escape from the tram. Because, in front of all of them, the train starts to change shape and morph. The back half stays the same, but the front part starts to wiggle, and the headlights blink a few times, and the front just opens up like a huge mouth.
Well. There's your demon! And though it's stuck on the tracks right now, it's turned to look at the four of you with it's bright headlight-eyes.]
[ Oh. Well. Hmm. Bucky was going to get Kazu back into the train with the others, but then they jumped out, and now the train is...this.
He's still using one hand to brace Kazu against his shoulder and keep him from sliding off...but his free hand will pull the gun out of his holster and immediately start shooting right into the demon's open mouth. ]
[For a few heart-pounding moments, Estelle can only stare.
But the sounds of gunshots snap her right out of it, and she looks around at her surroundings. Bucky's wasting no time in shooting... What if that makes the demon mad? And he's got Kazunari with him, who's already injured...
Estelle holds the prayer beads close to her chest, tracing her fingers over the individual beads as she recites a prayer she didn't know that she knew. The words just come to her mind in that moment.
She'll try to create a barrier in front of Bucky to protect him (and Kazu) from retaliation.]
[ something about hearing gunshots this close can really snap you out of whatever stupor you're in. kazunari starts, automatically leaning away from the gunshot - sorry about your balance, bucky - but eventually he does glance up at the demon and just sort of... freezes in horror. ]
We'll take it down together. Can you still summon anything?
[ sorry, he knows kazunari is injured, but he's pretty sure they'll need all the help they can get. sylvain has fought oversized monsters before—it takes a battalion, or in the absence of one a relic—to take down a demonic beast. this isn't quite the same but he'll try to apply similar principles of combat—look for weakspots. whittle it down patiently, while avoiding taking damage as much as possible. deal the killing blow. ]
Estelle, can you find its fatal verse? We'll try to keep it distracted.
[ while bucky peppers the demon with bullets, sylvain circles around, looking for any potential openings. if he finds one, he'll try to go for the headlight/eye, sword drawing a glinting arc. ]
[The barrier works! The demon tram had been about to smash its head against all of you, but it bounces off the barrier and leaves everyone unharmed. Bullets fly shortly after, with a few hitting different parts of the tram's giant mouth. Each shot leaves behind a hole that smokes as well, as the rounds are blessed and burn any demon who's unfortunate enough to get shot by them.
Demon train is mad now, and it roars in pain as it trashes about for a moment.
Sylvain's "do I recognize the weak spots" check: 15
Sylvain has the right idea with going for the headlight/eye, but it's too far up to reach with the sword right now. Sylvain will also notice how the electricity arcs around the demon tram's body, which can possibly be exploited to weaken the train too. He'll just have to think of what reacts with electricity to cause harm.]
[ Kazu's wiggling does threaten his balance for a few moments, but he manages to stay up. ]
Think you can stand on your own now?
[ Because if so, he will let Kazu slide off his shoulder so he can pull out gun 2! more gun! and keep shooting at it, both the mouth and the headlight, because...it seems to be working, so. why not. ]

[She takes a few steps back to put some distance between herself and their foe. Then, she takes the beads into her hands and begins reciting a new prayer: a fatal verse, if she can find the right words.]
[ as soon as he's on his feet again, he kind of scrambles back from bucky and tries to put himself between estelle and the demon instead, the paint on his skin turning purple. ]
I don't know if any of them can stand up to a train, though? [ can he even control more than one at a time? he's not sure that he trusts himself to after that fall, so... is his little green guy still here? ] How big can you grow? Can you help hold it back?
[The green man is still there! And when Kazu asks, he makes a noise of affirmation before growing very lorge (even if the image is not that lorge). He's like eight feet tall now and very big, though he looks more huggable than dangerous. But he does stand between the humans and the demon tram, ready to throw hands if it attacks again.

Bucky's shots don't quite hit the light, but they do fuck up this demon's face, and now it's mad. So mad that it's going to try slamming into the group again, but luckily the green man is there and ready to catch it. As the two demons struggle, everyone will see that the tram itself is still connected to the overhead wire somehow. Hmm... is this where the electricity is coming from?
Estelle's memory roll: 14
Estelle is luckily a very studious person, and she does recall the fatal verse for demons like this! So she can start chanting it. It's going to take 2 more rounds of chanting to finish the verse though, so protect the girl while she tries her best. She has to say it perfectly with no mistakes, so the less she gets hit or disrupted, the easier it will be for her to finish the verse.]
I'm trying to shoot it, but it's hard to get a good shot in with how it's moving!
