Which ones did you play, back when you did play, then?

Whatever we were playing on the school yard, or the army base, or camp. Baseball, sometimes. A lot of makeshift soccer, or football. Lots of obstacle course races, in training, or fights. Depends on what you count as playing a sport, I guess.

I'd probably be one hell of a frisbee player now, though.

But frisbees are smaller, right? Would the difference in size make it harder or easier?

Easier, probably. Less weight to have to deal with. It'd just take a little bit of time to get used to the different weight and balance, but from there it'd be the same.

I see... I guess that makes sense.

[hm! they handle the weight easily enough, but it's definitely a little awkward to hold.]

Next, you have to...[ he almost said 'throw it like a frisbee' but right, vulpecula's never done that before ] ...you have to flick it outwards as you throw it. Like this.

[ gestures with his own wrist! ]

[they watch his example, nod, and... YEET!

the shield goes sailing like a frisbee. vulpecula claps their hands together, delighted.]

[ oh my god, the delight is making him feel a little like a proud father. this is cute as hell. ]

Now...think you can actually aim it?

[they run after the shield to go retrieve it]

anyway once vulpecula picks the shield back up, Bucky pipes up: ] Alright, now try and throw it back to me.

[they fling the shield back at him!!!

it goes sailing off a few feet to his left.]

Not bad. You're doing better than most would with it. Probably.
