Easier, probably. Less weight to have to deal with. It'd just take a little bit of time to get used to the different weight and balance, but from there it'd be the same.
[ well. we now have a dream shield! With the stars and stripes and all. Bucky holds it out to Vulpecula, apparently it's like 2.5 feet in diameter and 12 lb altogether. ]
Almost. You have to keep your wrist stiff, or it's just gonna wobble and fall to the ground.
Next, you have to...[ he almost said 'throw it like a frisbee' but right, vulpecula's never done that before ] ...you have to flick it outwards as you throw it. Like this.
Kind of hard to judge how most people would handle the shield, considering it's only been held by three people. One of them basically invented the whole technique, and I've got a robotic arm to help me compensate for the heavy force and angled shots.

[hm! they can kind of picture it. it's a shame he died before aikawa's baseball extravaganza.]
Frisbee... oh, because of the shield, right?

[ so if he just dreams/thinks it hard enough, he can conjure a dream shield right here right now? ]

they wait.]

Here. Try holding it by the edge one-handed.

Like this?

[ gestures with his own wrist! ]

the shield goes sailing like a frisbee. vulpecula claps their hands together, delighted.]

Nice. You pick things up quick.
Now...think you can actually aim it?
no subject
[they run after the shield to go retrieve it]

anyway once vulpecula picks the shield back up, Bucky pipes up: ] Alright, now try and throw it back to me.

it goes sailing off a few feet to his left.]

It's only been held by three people, and you still let me try it out?
