Yeah. Uh. [...awkwardly petting meow wow instead.] We kinda talked. She was thinking about trying to find somewhere new and permanent for her and the others at the place she's at right now.

Might not be a bad idea. Her world still isn't fully safe even if she got rid of all the undead in it. [ a beat. ] You think she'd go for it if you're not around, though?

Yeah...[he thinks that over though.] I don't know. I think it depends on who the other people are. I know she knows I'll come back someday, so...it probably depends if she thinks she can or will wait for me, too.

I think it's less about waiting and more about her waiting around a bunch of people she doesn't know, Sora.

[ he sounds a little amused. ]

She'd have her friends, and then she could make friends with my friends. It'd work out.

I'm not alone in an endless void. [ deadpan ] ... Tifa, Aerith, Barret and Red are with me. Lup and Jason have their own stuff to deal with it.

[reconnective]

It's still unfinished business. [but okay, yeah, he can't really argue that either.] ...whatever you decide to do after that is up to you I guess.

... I said I'd call them during. [ he admits a little reluctantly ] But I don't want to... mess them in with all of that.

For their safety, or yours? [just wondering if this is something to protect them, or so that cloud himself can keep going forward.]

Neither. [ well, their safety a little, but; ] This is just... something I feel like we have to do ourselves.

I think I get it. [and he does, weirdly.] I think you'll be able to finish it sooner than you think.

I'd make an exception on letting people help if it meant getting you out of that void.

Point taken. I wish there was a way that we could at least know what that guy was up to. Then I wouldn't have to worry so much about leaving.

You've got no way of making it back to where he is if you leave?

I don't think so. I'm not sure. [he frowns.] The way I got there in the first place was when I kinda died. So if there is another way...I don't know what it is.

... Well, there's got to be a different way, if that guy got there. Maybe that's how your friends will find you.

Maybe. If anyone can, it's them. That's why I'm not as worried.

...and I have a feeling they've already started. Which is just another reason I can't risk leaving on my own yet.
