I'm not alone in an endless void. [ deadpan ] ... Tifa, Aerith, Barret and Red are with me. Lup and Jason have their own stuff to deal with it.

It's still unfinished business. [but okay, yeah, he can't really argue that either.] ...whatever you decide to do after that is up to you I guess.

... I said I'd call them during. [ he admits a little reluctantly ] But I don't want to... mess them in with all of that.

For their safety, or yours? [just wondering if this is something to protect them, or so that cloud himself can keep going forward.]

Neither. [ well, their safety a little, but; ] This is just... something I feel like we have to do ourselves.

I think I get it. [and he does, weirdly.] I think you'll be able to finish it sooner than you think.

... We'll see. [ he's not so sure himself, but. ] I don't care how long it takes. I just want it done.

And it'll get done. [he frowns in thought.] I kinda wish I could go with you to help fight.

I'd make an exception on letting people help if it meant getting you out of that void.

Point taken. I wish there was a way that we could at least know what that guy was up to. Then I wouldn't have to worry so much about leaving.

You've got no way of making it back to where he is if you leave?

I don't think so. I'm not sure. [he frowns.] The way I got there in the first place was when I kinda died. So if there is another way...I don't know what it is.

... Well, there's got to be a different way, if that guy got there. Maybe that's how your friends will find you.

Maybe. If anyone can, it's them. That's why I'm not as worried.

[he will outright say so.]

...and I have a feeling they've already started. Which is just another reason I can't risk leaving on my own yet.

It's not like they'd be mad if you came back before they got finished...

[ he has to point it out, but he gets why. he does. he just hates it. ]

I know. It's more I'd be worried they'd get stuck there while I was gone. [so. he knows.] It's been a while since all three of us were together.

But there's time. I'll figure something out.

You better. Take too long, and I might end up joining your friends on figuring a way to get you out of there.

[ don't say that so casually cloud you guys don't even have space travel. ]

I don't think they'd say no to that, at least. I have a feeling they're all trying...[which is just a whole other pile of guilt but it's fine whatever.]

I don't want something bad happening to them just because of a choice I made.

So you wouldn't do anything that'd put you in danger because of a choice they made?
