[ aquila hums, indulgently, allowing kaeya to meld the shape around them all that he wants to. the dream space responds to his every whim, shifting to change into the ballroom of the castle in the realm.

[ can you believe this was the fit i would have used if we'd had a fancy ball? in any case kaeya does sit up a bit as he thinks for a moment longer. he draws his hair forward and considers before he is delightfully dressed, with a pair of earrings and some cute shoes. before he leans back on his hands and laughs. ]
they seem very surprised by this gesture, actually. it's not really a flinch, but they do seize up, surprised? aquila may be someone who has not gotten that many hugs in their life.

but after a moment, they hug him back, making a quiet noise as they curl their fingers in the back of his clothes. ]

they give him a little squeeze as he goes, then, and huff a bit of a laugh. ]
The best way you could show gratitude was taking care of that rat. [ but they tilt their head, and kaeya might feel them smiling. ]

[ there's a pause, and they glance down at themselves, and then; there's a little fuzzy wobble in the dream space, and they're wearing that raven feather bowtie and the gold necklace from before. there. ]
Really? Wish there was still something else we could do for Virgo. We're really wracking our brains down there trying to figure it out.
[ kaeya watches this cute little chain and bow tie appear and grins, moving forward to sweep them out towards the floor. there's music filtering in warmly, light perfect. for a moment, he feels like maybe he can breathe again just for a hot second or two. ]
