Hello to you too, V... always good to see you in person.
[ polaris is happy to greet them, tail wagging and turning away from kaeya to trot over and circle them happily with a huff. also hey mod how tall is vulpe in comparison to kaeya? it's important. ]
[ he takes their hand easily, giving it a squeeze and walking with them. polaris takes their other side happily, walking beside them at a leisurely trot. ]
Just a bit more tired than usual, but nothing I can't handle. Besides, spending a bit of time with you also tends to put a spring in my step.
Be sure you get some rest, when you need it. But... I'm glad spending time with me helps you.
[they sound concerned. they give his hand a squeeze as they head through the doors and find themselves in... rngs it... the planetarium on the first floor unless you wanted them to end up somewhere else in which case i leave it to you]
[ planetarium is perfect! kaeya glances upwards towards the pinpricks of light almost immediately as he walks with them into the space. ]
Oh, a good place to land, I think. The stars seem very appropriate all things considered.
[ because it's affection week, he doesn't let go of their hand unless they want to. he does, in fact, find a few mats to flop onto though, almost preferable to chairs, right beneath the stars blinking over their heads.
he only does let go to flop downwards with a laugh. ]
Stargazing is rather delightful, even if the sky overhead is unfamiliar.
[ he nods, threading their fingers together contentedly. his nails are painted with that same sparkly nail polish that he'd painted vulpecula's pinkies last week. ]
Everyone is born beneath one in Teyvat... and with that, comes the story of someone's life, supposedly tightly interwoven within those stars.
It is a rather difficult decision to make, isn't it?
There's no reason you can't stay as you are of course... foxes are clever, but they still care for their own, they're playful, sweet, but their teeth are like needles, small and sharp, and they can be protective.
They are also very intelligent. So. Perhaps it fits quite well at the end of the day.
[their giggling fades out a bit, and they look up at the stars again.]
But I suppose... you can't really control the stars you're born under. You can't control when you're born, or where you're born, or who you're born to... or any of the things that happen to you. But you can control the way you live your life, and the way you react to those circumstances. You can choose which people you surround yourself with, too, no matter what the stars say.
week 4, monday
Sure! Should we just walk out the front door and see where we end up, or is there somewhere specific you want to go?

[ and he will indeed be waiting for them there in the lobby, mostly just crouched while smushing polaris' face as he waits for them. ]

Hi, Kaeya! And hi, Polaris.

they come up to about his shoulder, give or take]
I've been... okay. I'm just glad last week is over. [they look up at him and ... well, it is affection week! so they reach for his hand.] ...and you?

...constellations are - special, in Teyvat. Right?

There must be a lot of stars, for everyone to be born under a different constellation...

[ he crosses his legs at the ankles from where he's laid, staring upwards. ]
But I did always love staring up at them at night from the vineyard...

Noctua.
That's Diluc's.
[ he's biased. ]

I think I probably could have guessed that without asking, actually...

Do you like the constellation you've been given now? Or would you pick something else?
no subject
But I'm not really sure what I'd pick if I could pick anything at all.
