they snort at this shameless answer, and open the door, extending in arm in an after you gesture.

opening the door to aquila's room, the first thing you might notice is it feels surprisingly homey.

the room has tall stone walls - bone white, with some vaguely medieval tapestries hanging up on them, one with a large VM painted on it in red. there's a large bed with black covers, neatly made; a vintage, dark wood rolltop desk that's open showing a typewriter, a vintage phone, and some notes, as well as a mug and a plant that is definitely very dead. several of the tips that have been given to aquila are visible on the desk, including a few origami birds and flowers, and maybe the funniest, a necklace made of furby heads that's hanging on the wall like a war trophy. there are many books stacked on their desk, some with the occasional folded paper sticking out like a bookmark. there's no visible wardrobe, but instead, a wooden door with a nice black handle inlaid into one wall is likely a closet.

the most obvious and immediate thing on entry though is the view - a large, round window shows this landscape in a simulated view, only with more of the pink trees, gently blowing blossoms in the wind. it fills the entire room with the gently glowing light of a fresh dawn.

it is also like extremely neat and tidy in here, from the perfectly made bed to the neatly organized books. not a thing is out of place. welcome to my crib ]

Were your rooms created the same way as ours? By just... basing it on what you wanted?

[ it is very pretty! i don't know how familiar yuri is with flowers, but the pink blooming trees are a mix of cherry, plum, and peach blossoms on closer inspection.

aquila shrugs as an answer to his question though. ] If you're gonna live where you work, might as well enjoy it, yeah?

Comfort and play to balance all the work, then. I did wonder where you were all hiding when not running around after us. The employee lounge is only so big.

I didn't break into yours, so the point is moot. You could be hanging from the ceiling like a bat in the restaurant for all I knew. [ "yuri, lup broke in and told you" -- like a BAT. ]

Honestly though from some of the descriptions we've had of other rooms? This one seems mostly normal. And like someone lives in it. Good job.

Pretty sure one of them got described as smelling like... y'know. Meat? Like an abattoir or something? Not somewhere I'd be eager to lie down and nap in.

Interesting. I'm not sure I would've been able to make any guesses, exactly, but still. Do you spend more time with the people you run trials with then, in general?

I’m pretty friendly, pretty bird. Get along with most people in general.
