I trusted the vote would be going towards Clementine or Cloud, depending on whether people believed the narrative that Cloud was possessed, or believed Clementine would kill for her hostage.

Perhaps there's some entertainment in having a select few bear the responsibility... I imagine it'd be too obvious that it'd be in the spirit of everyone else trying not to participate, which goes against the contract.
