Exactly, they can't get on me because they went hiking while starving and injured.

[she grouches, laying out flat.] I had to do stuff today. I'm resting now.

Mmhm. Everything important has already been addressed today. The only thing left to do now is rest and wait for tomorrow. No excuses. [not that they doubt lup wouldn't rest now, but none trust.]

[she lays on the bed for a moment, just sort of zoning out for a bit. and then finally:]

What do you mean?

I mean I don't, uh... I'm not used to reading people talking to me over text? So I uh, psych myself out. It's a newer thing for me, you know? Even back on my original world we didn't... have like, phones, or whatever. Any communicating we did long distance was with spells.

[that makes sense, and they're about to say something to that but they have a question first that seems to distract them.]

How do you communicate with spells?

[evocationary]

Oh, uh. [she waves a hand.] Message. It's telepathic.

Wouldn't that get more confusing? Like...what if you sent a thought you didn't mean to send and now it's a message everybody can see?

[sadly, they're intrigued.]
