[into the void they go... it's horrible and cold, and the eyes watch them both intently.]
Not as far as I know, but hey. The hotel is full of surprises. [she mutters grouchily, watching as the eyes creep closer.] Those aren't supposed to be in here. The eyes.
If they're not supposed to be here, that's a good thing. That means anything goes—it'd raise problems for our escape if everything was completely accurate.
So, let's see what we can trigger.
[lepus's voice is still calm, as they try to go near enough one of the eyes to stab it.]
[and then they just stab one of the eyes - and there's a mechanical screaming, something janky and horrible, and lup flinches so hard she nearly ducks. the eyes all blink rapidly and shift through eight different colors - red, blue, pink, orange, grey, green, purple, gold - and then, without warning, big, thick, furry tentacles writhe out from the void, reaching for them both.
and instinctively, lup tries to cast a spell. fire, sunlight, something, anything.]
[lepus flinches at the noise but stands their ground. when the tentacles come for them, they'll make one slash to try and fend them off, but after, still holding onto lup—
it happens so fast that she might not even be aware of what happens, but she'll feel a pull, see the blur of movement, and then suddenly she and lepus are both several feet away from their original position. if it wasn't for the sense of movement, it'd almost seem like they teleported.
with their free hand, lepus still holds out their sword in front of themself and lup both.]
[that's fair even though i think it'd be very funny if lepus said uwu
they manage to slice one of the tentacles and they retract, with another squealing noise. and then very suddenly, lup is not where she thought she was, and she has to very unsteadily try to not fall over, holding onto lepus's arm. hhhh.]
Sounds like it. [she says, and to her credit she just sounds annoyed.] Can I have a sword or something? I - if that thing grabs me I'm going to flip my shit.
Why would I keep my razor on me when it's not Saturday --
[she huffs, and then immediately gets cut off by a little shriek as a tentacle whips out to grab her foot. lepus slashes in the direction of the voice, and manages to hack off one of the tentacles, but lup is about to get pulled off into the void by the one attached to her. she's already trying to stomp on it, kick it away.
she hasn't let go of lepus, though. she can follow instructions.]
[i hope lup feels steel judging her from another dimension for not being armed at all times
but if lup hasn't let go of lepus, that at least means they get pulled alongside her, which is what they want since it ensures that they aren't separated from each other. with that, they'll try and reach over to stab the tentacle grabbing onto her.
still, they can't just fight off tentacles forever. need to figure out what the end goal of this is...]

... Would that be your demented furby?
[they refuse to say the word "uwu".]

... Otherwise, if you think it's going to nab you, hold onto me and try not to let go.
[at the voice, they're going to whirl around and slash at the source.]
