she immediately walks out into the area, standing out in the middle and just. tilting her head back to let the sun shine on her face. that's all. she just stands with her hands in her pockets, expression easy, eyes closed.

anyway. aquila has not said anything about her cute outfit. i wonder why. they do seem content just to vibe for a moment too, though, turning their face upwards briefly like they can feel the sun even through the veil.
there's a pause, letting the atmosphere just soak in for a moment, and then aquila recites a line of verse, appreciative; ] You ask O why I’ve chosen to live in the mountains green...
...with their usual twinkly, amused mischief clear in their voice; ] It's just a nature poem, darling.
[ breezing over the nickname, they continue: ]
I smile without replying, my heart sedate, serene. Peach flowers on rivulets gambol, then ramble out of sight; ’tis Heaven and earth with a difference, not of the world we’d been.
[ aquila's hand, as always, is cold, but he shifts a little, just enough to turn his hand and lace their fingers together, thumb stroking against the side of her hand. the motion is just enough to be noticed, still. sneaky.
they notably take a breath - in, and out - and then roll their shoulders back, and just seem to settle a bit, like they're anchored into place. the silence settles, comfortable and warm, and when they speak again, it's with a tilt of their head, thoughtful: ]
Feels weird, now that that affectionate thing is done, doesn't it? I think I missed it. [ isn't this nice...wow... it's filling the void now that last week is over..... ]
