[Hm. The soldier looks a little baffled, before moving to the back of the cart to peer into the lidless barrel again as if to double-check.]

[ He pinches the bridge of his nose. And then, rather snappily, actually: ]

Who's passed through this carriage since our arrival?

Um - it's only been the two of us, sir.

[SIR PLEASE HE'S JUST AN INNOCENT LAD he looks a little nervous at the snappiness. He's just sitting here wondering if they were transporting live animals to Tama or something holy shit.]

What was in there? Should we look for it...?

Soujirou. [ HE'S CROSSING HIS ARMS LOOKING STERN. ] That for real? You been hanging around in this cart the whole time?

[HYELP. The guard looks a little sweaty, glancing down at Soujirou who just ducks behind Aikawa's leg, clinging to his pants and barely peeking out around the side.]

I was and they're lying! Another guy came in and went to look at the stuff back there. [THIS SOLDIER'S GONNA STOMP THIS CHILD HERE ON THE SPOT. Though after a pause, Soujirou add:] Um... But they really didn't go look at that one, though. I watched you guys leave, and then I heard a noise from over there, and when I looked back, the lid was gone...

At around that time, a shrill scream sounds from outside, so maybe they want to check that out instead!]

[ Tch. He gives a short pat to Soujirou's head, but before he has to go look at that: ]

[So much is happening SOUJIROU LOOKS VERY CONCERNED but he will answer promptly:]

Uh-- He was as tall as that guy! [POINTING to one of the soldiers who's about 5'10".] And he had black hair that was kinda short and choppy... And a real serious face. Oh - and he had these black lines, like this! [Drawing a line down and over one eye.] And really pretty eyes.

[ AND REALLY PRETTY EYES??? Help. Aikawa makes a slight face at this description, but he just nods -- curtly. ]

C'mon.

[ He doesn't trust their wee boy to be hanging around with these guys. LET'S GO. ]
