But away he goes, deeper into the building! This is very funny because it is indeed a bunker. Once he busts past the office and through the door on the other side, he's basically in one long hallway that's lined with doors on each side of it. It's cramped and dark as hell in here since it's beddy-bye time and SOMEONE didn't grab a candle, so he can either leave the door he flees through open for a sliver of light, or close it for more time and lose almost all visibility.
At a brief glance, it looks like there's nothing of immediate use: no ledges, no windows, no doors on the opposite side that might indicate an exit out the back. There's just him, this low-ceiling hall and these rows of presumably bedroom bunker doors. What's the move...]
