[ jason may find another book under the bed. two, actually! one says is a collection of poems and short stories, edgar allen poe. the other has a title in a language he can't really read. unless you're going to tell me that jason is fluent in a bunch of languages, which you might, but he can't read it because of mg powers. there are no bras.
searching the pillows, he finds - another black feather! it's in one of the fluffier pillows that looks like it hasn't been used. this feather is bigger than the smaller ones jason found - like a wing feather. it's slightly iridescent. there's also a small pouch under one of the pillows, but it appears to just be some kind of potpourri or something. it smells a bit like lavender.
lup sees no hidden compartments in the desk! just a half finished mug of coffee, the notes from before, the dead plant, and then the two drawers with their original contents. she's hit with that medicinal smell again when she pulls the bottom drawer open and closes it. ]
He. Will take this feather, too, I guess. It's fine. "Don't take anything," Jason Todd says, taking something. Judging these old Asian granny sleep aides a bit, it's fine. Also? He stands up, hesitates, grits his teeth, then climbs back down to dig the books out from under the bed. WHO LEAVES BOOKS ON THE FLOOR BENEATH THE BED? NO.
And yes, he is actually fluent in a handful of languages, even Chinese, but it isn't fantasy Chinese, and also mg blocks him which is fine. He doesn't try to read the books necessarily anyway, he is going to go put them in the desk with the other three books. He's grumbling something about leaving books on the floor as he goes to close the curtain back.
The flashlight is still on, though. He points it at Lup's knees so it isn't in her face.]
That it? [He gives this big, iridescent feather to Lup.] Not much except this.
actually can she take the notes from before? since jason is fuckin' taking things from this room she might as well. she's also going to check the dead plant quickly to see if there's anything hidden in it or if it's just a dead plant. dumps the half-finished coffee into the plant's dirt after to check if there's anything in the mug.
when jason comes back over, she blinks at the feather and takes it...] What the fuck is that. Why is it so big.
[ it's just a dead plant! the flowers look a bit like snowdrops.
she can. take the notes. sure! she still can't read them.
anyway jason is being a big baby but perhaps this person simply was reading them and they got kicked as you were moving around. huh? huh? anyway. the curtains closes, leaving them in darkness, and the starlight hotel mug is dumped into the plant. wow.
who knows about the feather, though! can't explain it. if the two are done in here, though, they will feel a sense they need to get going, and quickly - something is forming in the corner of the room that looks like it could be a shadow.

[OH SHIT. He slings the flashlight at the corner, then grabs Lup gently by the arm to start pushing her toward the door.]
No time. Move. Don't stop.
[Going to haul ass out of here, making sure she is first, and then shutting the door behind them. GOODBYE.]
