anyway. as she steps out into the main streets of whole ass, she'll find it to be quiet. too quiet. a single tumbleweed drifts across the scenery.
the scenery itself is rather quaint. there's a single hitching post, where a few horses are tied up, including her beloved horse that she's always known how to ride named (rolls dice) ortus. there's few people around, and those who see her seem to be moving out of her sight as fast as possible. she can see a notice board in the middle of town with a few wanted posters stacked to it. a dynamite salesman is nearby. a skull sits on a visible grave just around the corner. there's a tiny church, a few well placed cacti.
people open their doors and close them at the sight of the grim reaper herself, murmuring and whispering to themselves, but leave her to stand there in her cowboy get up. how would she like to make her ruckus? ]
[ ortus whinnies softly and rubs into her hand. aw.
as harrow moseys on down to the wanted posters she will see, of course, her own. she is formidable and ominous and resplendent. her reward is very large.

to the right is another poster. this one has another girl on it. harrow, of course, recognizes her immediately, mostly because she just wandered into your town and started stealing your thunder. in many ways! considering she even stole your signature look, and topped it with a pair of stupid sunglasses.
[damn! stupid sexy gideon... she will tear her wanted poster down and ball it up and toss it into the street, and then pick it back up and put it in her pocket. and then she will approach the dynamite seller.]

[ gideon sounds pissed. she steps forward, and then lunges, like she's just going to pick up this tiny little outlaw and throw her over her shoulders like a sack of potatoes. but you've always been quicker than her, haven't you? you could put a gun in her face and she'd never even be able to move. is that what you want to do?
do you want to shoot her? you do, right? or should it be different. shouldn't it be a duel, if you do that? shouldn't you face each other across town?
looking at her is like being punched, it's like having all of the air knocked out of her. maybe it's like this every time. or maybe, for some reason, it feels as though it has been so very, very long since you've seen her, and you miss her so badly it makes you ache. or maybe she looks stupid in her stupid jacket. who can say?
the point is, that feeling, whatever is causing it, has always been harrow's weakness. she is the living embodiment of everything that is ugly and despicable and she is the living embodiment of everything she cannot bear to lose. and she wants to destroy the reminder and she wants to forbid this shift in their dynamic, this shift that would lose her the upper hand which would inevitably mean losing gideon for good. and she wants to let her carry her home.
she does shoot, but she's a little too slow on the draw and her aim is a little high; it was never meant to be fatal in the first place, but now it will probably miss its mark.]
