WEEK 2 LOCATIONS

FLOOR 02
Elevator Number: 02
A new button has appeared on the elevator, and the stairs will allow you to climb up another floor.
What awaits you on Floor 02?

β˜…
LIBRARY.

Entering the large double doors will bring you directly into a room helpfully labeled as the Library. The inside of this room is larger than the outside, giving way to several shelves of books and study materials. A small cluster of tables and chairs are available with reading lamps attached, along with a few plush chairs and couches for a more cozy experience. Hotel guests can find books of both the fictional and non-fictional variety including a few titles from their own homes. Every now and then, you'll hear a slight whisper as shadowy figures talk amongst themselves in this quiet place. Should you linger near the vending machine in the back, a shadowy figure will even hand you a cup of coffee or a can of soda for your enjoyment. Do try to be respectful here.

β˜…
SIMULATIONS ROOM.

The door near the elevator practically blends into the wall making it very easy to miss. Should you enter the room, however, you’ll find an area with white floors, white walls and a white ceiling. Every now and then, the room glistens as if it’s simply waiting for a command from you. A panel on the wall can be activated by a touch, and with a clear mental image and a little imagination you can bring anything to life in this room. Your five senses can be easily tricked in this room, everything seeming as real as possible. But as always, do try to keep one foot grounded in reality lest you lose yourself entirely. Should you stray too far, the door and panel will simply vanish, trapping you in the room until you concentrate on the hotel once more.

β˜…
LAUNDRY.

While housekeeping is more than happy to deal with your messes, if you're the cleanly type, you can always do your own laundry in the laundry room. The entire place smells like fresh linens: in here are several old, rickety washing machines. They (questionably) do seem to work, at least, but they are very loud and rattle like they're broken. Besides that, there are a few washtubs with washboards in them, and a metal shelf against one wall is stocked with soap, detergent, dryer sheets and anything else you might need for a clean clothes experience. There are no dryers, but several drying racks for hanging clothes are strung up around the room. There's also a box of T*de pods - with a sticky note attached to them that says DO NOT EAT.

β˜…
EMPLOYEE LOUNGE

The Employee's Lounge is designated to Starlight Staff. It's a cozy little room, with a small bar cart full of snacks and drinks, a television that only plays static, a desk with a typewriter and a phone, and a corkboard full of cute little drawings - some animals, some strange triangles (?), a smiling tree, among other things. There's also an empty filing cabinet, and another empty cabinet up on the wall. It's decorated with a few posters. (1, 2, 3), and there's a vintage radio distantly playing crackling music. If you stay in here too long... well, you'll feel like you have to leave. What are you, staff?

β˜…
HALL DOORS...?

There are many doors that line the spare space of hallways on each floor, and curiously, many of them seem to be unlocked. Try your luck?
