[Clementine's blade goes through Sieghart's back and out his stomach, skewering him onto Souji's body. Impassive red eyes flit toward Alphinaud.]
Be that as it may, your existence is a sin. This one squandered the eternity he seized by succumbing to his mortal desires, while the one behind me remains by her fate.
[He pushes Souji away and walks off Clementine's blade, the flow of blood coming to an abrupt stop as his uneven wound closes up in seconds.]
You've proven yourselves unworthy of the gods' power. Now repent.
[He raises his freed sword and brings it down on Souji's falling body.]
[The sound of something shattering rings in the air as Sieghart's blade cuts through Souji's body.
Clementine catches Sieghart mid turn. Her sword drives into his side, and he sways from the force of her attack before twisting at the hip to retaliate with a stab of his own.]
If that is your decision, this is as far as you will go.
[Souji pops back up after he hits the dirt, the terminator-esque adrenaline in his body fueling him to unimaginable heights as he leaps forward to try slashing Sieghart down BECAUSE SURELY IT'LL WORK THIS TIME.]
Strangely enough for this group of fresh immortals and their revives, Souji's battered body just... lies where it hits the ground after the blade glides through it, a marionette with cut strings, motionless and bereft of any life. Considering both Alphinaud and Clementine are busy fighting for their own, maybe they won't notice right away, but the seconds tick by and he remains still, eyes staring at nothing, blood soaking into the ground around him and taking the color from his face.
It appears that Okita Souji is really dead this time. See ya, suckers.]
[ hmm, she's gonna be real upset about souji's more permanent death being kind of by her hands once she actually registers it.
... but that's a problem for Later Clem! right now she's more focused on being stabbed! she figures she can't get unstabbed, so she just tries to make the most of it, using the rest of her strength to keep her sword in Sieg - hoping to maybe stop him from healing so quickly. ]
[ This. Is bad. This is so bad, and for a second there, Alphinaud almost doesn't know what to do.
It feels utterly futile to keep up an assault against a being who can just regenerate like this, where conventional means simply don't work. They're just... going to keep dying, over and over, until there truly is no coming back from it.
There's a tremble in his hands, but Clementine has him in place, for now. And so...
Before he can think too much further on it, Alphinaud swings the bat at "Sieghart's" head. ]
[A deafening clang echoes in the otherwise silent temple as "Sieghart"'s head snaps aside from the force of the blow. He lurches, clearly dead by his faltering grip on his sword, but remains relatively upright due to his mutual skewering with Clementine.
However, his hand tightens around the hilt of his sword just before it can slide off. His bloody, misshapen head rights itself and previously deceased eyes flash as they focus in Alphinaud's direction.]
Very well. Then this is where it truly ends.
["Sieghart" pulls his blade out of Clementine, leaving her to bleed out. He backsteps, raises his sword into the air, and conjures a massive blade forged from magic that spans almost the full length of the platform. Several smaller blades materialize on both sides of the party, caging them in place, when "Sieghart" swings his sword down. The massive blade smites Alphinaud and Clementine, who are then caught in a chain-explosion alongside Souji's body.
Clementine and Alphinaud Leveilleur are dead.
When they next awaken, it's no longer at the temple, but somewhere more familiar . . . ]

Alphinaud stares, horrified, his grip tightening around the bat. Even if Souji will just as quickly return, he won't come back any better. ]
How... how are we supposed to defeat someone like this?!
[ HE HATES BEING POWER NERFED ]
