Alphinaud freezes in his tracks, looking around. ]

[ well. now she'll take the front. and she chooses to head east, arbitrarily and without consulting poor alphinaud. ]

[Clementine chooses to take the party eastward. The corridor is quiet, and Alphinaud once again arrives at a hall identical to the one they left.

However, Clementine is now nowhere to be seen.]

[ And… now he’s alone.

Alphinaud looks around, panic rising in his chest; what is he supposed to do alone? … Could he find the others?

After some mental preparation, he goes north. ]

[North leads Alphinaud back to the hall. It seems the logic of forward and backward doesn't apply here.]

[ what if he just keeps going north forever, huh? checkmate.

just kidding, he’ll try north a few more times before turning eastbound I GUESS ]

[Alphinaud checkmates himself. No matter how many times he goes north, he returns to the hall. Going eastward yields the same result.]

[Alphinaud flies into the ceiling, never to be seen again.

Just kidding. There's one direction Alphinaud has yet to tread.]

[ It just occurred to me they’re probably looping through the same spot rather than endlessly going through a maze of identical hallways help

Okay south, for our sanities. ]

[The corridor is quiet as Alphinaud heads south, leaving the hall empty of guests.]
