W-well, yeah. I mean, he's really cool, and he's the best prosecutor there ever was! And my mom hasn't been around for a while, so... you know, he's my whole family!
[ he is trying very hard to sound cool and not sad or stressed out about any of this!! ]
You guys don't— you haven't met all the people that got kidnapped for this thing, have you?
[ and quickly wipes a tear away from the corner of his eye before changing the subject! ]
A-anyway, one of the other things I wanted to ask about was, uh, the thing I asked about during the last trial? About... whether it's possible to do some magic thing or whatever to scale the bathroom fixtures up and down based on who's using it... I have to jump to reach the thing to adjust the temperature in the shower and it's definitely a safety hazard!
[a change in subject is actually fine because, well, maybe there is something to be done here.]
Oh. Yeah, I was wondering if you were gonna follow up on that. It being a safety hazard does seem to be in line with this hotel though...[. . .] But if you wanted to, you could make a deal for it.
Well...you read the contract, right? You can make deals with us if you know how to pitch it. If it's something that can be entertaining -by the hotel's standards, not mine- then you have a higher chance of getting the deal to go through.
So. How would being able to change your bathroom benefit the hotel and the Host's entertainment?

...he's very important to you then, isn't he?

We haven't met your hostages, no. We only know about who they are and who they are to you. Nothing detailed. Why?

I'm gonna take a guess that it matters a little if you're actually asking.
no subject
That's, um, the message I'd want to give him if that was a thing. But I guess it's not, so... that's fine.
no subject
I'm sure he knows that even when you aren't fighting for his life, Sebastian. So just remember that. Okay?

Think about what you just said to me about why you wanted to change it in the first place, if that helps.

[ THIS SOUNDS LIKE A REALLY TERRIBLE REASON ]

Think about the stipulations of the contract and what the host wants and try that again. You sort of have the right idea.

I don't think anyone else cares about my stupid bathroom!
