[when kim dokja rings the bell, shadows appear before him, from which emerges cetus. when they speak, there's an odd, almost muffled quality to their tone.]
Powers are all one use only, and even should you use one, it still counts towards the two maximum. Most can't be used during trial—neither of mine can.
The way Sacrifice works is that you can transfer any degree of your own injuries to a target [except for stuff like limb loss or squicky things that an unsuspecting target might not want to deal with oocly] and they'll remain. Alternatively, you can transfer any degree of another target's injuries onto yourself, but they will return to the original bearer after 24 hours.
In order to receive a power, we ask a task of you first. You cannot know what it is beforehand, and once you receive the task, you're locked into it until you complete it or it expires automatically after seven days. During then, you can't request room service from anyone else. Neither can you request room service twice in one week, even if you complete your task early.
Fortunate that I'm used to needing to complete tasks for rewards. [ it's said with some amusement. Jin is of course here, the white nine-tailed fox peeking at Cetus curiously. she is seated like a good girl at Dokja's side but slowly... slowly shimmying closer to Cetus. ]
That all seems manageable. I'm fine by these terms.
[ oh, cool. Jin takes this opportunity to come close then, mostly to sniff at them but she will eventually raise a paw. the universal sign that she wants something. ]
I had thought maybe if I timed it on Friday, I could take a companion's injuries onto myself. I wouldn't mind if it meant I take the blame.
[ what else do you expect from kim dokja with a sacrifice power. ] Even if it will only alleviate for a bit versus the other method.
[ of, y'know, transferring his own onto someone else. a smarter method and yet i close my eyes at rat ] Even if it can't be used in trial, it's still a useful power to have.
[cetus crouches down. yes hello creature what do you want]
All right.
Then, your task is to confess your feelings—not necessarily romantic—to someone in public. They should be sentiments that you haven't expressed to the person before and should be relatively comprehensive.
[no shouting one line and then walking away.]
It shouldn't be obvious that it's for a task, either. If people question you, then pretend that you've been cursed, if you must. Once you're done, report back to me.
[i.e. throw in another audience with a link to the relevant public thread!]

Public confession, no drive-by and no mention of a task. [ taps his chin thoughtfully. ] Fair enough. I'll get to working on it soon.
