For now, yes. The eyes you need to be worried about are most likely occupied with watching people in the hotel running into the dangerous doors - unless they saw them planning to do it first.

But it was our hope to distract those eyes you speak of, as well, while others focused on those doors in attempt to find some manner of connection 'twixt us.

Such was the idea. I will not claim to have a full understanding of the doors, myself, given that I have spent less time with them than most others. But we received a letter not too long ago from one of the living suggesting the idea, and the others have wished to go along with it.

I did not find it unsound, given that the improbable quite oft is in scenarios such as these, thus my willingness to assist in it.

I think that would be wise, yes. And be sure not to discuss precisely what the distractions are in too much detail publicly - you have to make it look spontaneous, or else you-know-who is going to think something weird is going on.

Absolutely. Duly noted, then—and next time, we need not involve you and yours. Though I believe it obvious your lot is hardly any more fond of these circumstances than us, we were uncertain as to whether or not your overseeing us would be a detriment to our plans.

We certainly couldn't attend any of them - if we were spotted there, that would be a disaster. But... like I said before, it isn't my eyes you need to worry about. Do with that as you will. Just be careful who you repeat it to, if there's not some kind of ongoing distraction.
