I know not, to speak true. Should you know aught about the man who was on the other side, however, mayhap we could be privy to that information... and what we could possibly do about him.

Well...if it were me and I were faced with a sudden mysterious enemy, I'd take a little bit to observe them and see if I could pinpoint any strengths and weaknesses about them. Doesn't make sense to rush right in just in case that fails, too.

No, rushing forth against an unknown entity is foolish at best. If you think we should be fine observing them from a distance for the time being, however...

I do. Not like you can really talk to the guy, right? So take a minute to step back, make sure he's not gonna do anything drastic right away and then regroup to deal with it.

I have little intention of provoking him, though I cannot guarantee the others think similarly. I can, at least, warn against it.

That might be best until you get a better idea of a game plan. Whatever you guys do now is gonna affect all of you.

If I may ask... why was he locked up in that basement, anyway? What could he possibly do?

...well I'd say eating people is a big one that you'd probably want to avoid.

If I may speak plainly, we had not the faintest idea what was behind that door, thus our desire to seek out answers. I know I, along with the rest of us, simply wished to learn more of what is happening around us, and that is not done by idly sitting around.

Dude. Seriously, if someone is standing guard in front of a door and not answering questions sometimes you have to cut your losses. Normally I'd agree with you but...yikes.

Yes, yes—full aware am I that we've made a mistake, but I only ask that you understand where we came from. Surely, if you were in our position, would you not at least consider the same?

Truthfully? Probably not. But you and I have had way different experiences so don't take my word for it. [bluh.] But we can't change what's happened, so you just have to focus on dealing with him as best as you can.

At the very least, there are more of us than there are of him, and besides that—we are already dead, so I cannot imagine he would be interested in consuming us.

I don't know about that. You being dead might actually cut out a step in your consumption since he wouldn't have to kill you much again. [urgh.] But I'd rather not think about it in the first place. It's a pretty distinct possibility though.

... Right. Well. Duly noted. Though I'm surprised the staff were worried enough about him to lock him up at all. 'Tis not as if any other murderer amongst us is locked up in such a manner.

You know what, if you want to leave him out just to see the difference between him and everybody else you're with, that's also fine...
