One would think that everyone would expect this by now, and yet somehow I still find myself a bit surprised by the state everyone comes back in. Not that I expected better, but...perhaps it's simply a vague thought.
I do understand. Back in Wiwaldi, I had the means to regain my healing magicks, and it goes without saying I was called upon the same day every week. Though I wish I could have done the same here, I suppose for the most part now, it would be mostly useless to those at the hotel.
I imagine it's the thought that counts in this case. [but they hum for a moment.] Were you able to regain everything you're capable of at Wiwaldi? Or were there limitations as well?
Not everything, no, but some. Though I could heal, I was limited to one person per week, which... well, at least I had something at all. I had also been able to regain the ability to summon my carbuncle, yet again its full capabilities were limited.
Summons can be called forth whenever the user wishes, so I am not limited to such scenarios, and like any other being it can tire itself out rather than "run out" of magic. As for forms—well, no, carbuncles typically do not. Not only are they conjured forth from the likes of gemstones, thus limited to the stones' likeness, but their capabilities are only as strong as its summoner.
A familiar that could change forms, though... I wonder if I could create such a thing.
I see...[there's a slow nod of understanding.] I imagine if they're created from gemstones, depending on the, erm, composition of the stones you could likely change the form. If a summoner gets stronger then, the familiar can as well?

Ah. So...what precisely are the full capabilities of the carbuncle? It's a summon, right?
