... He doesn't look very ghostly, though... He has feet and everything.

Maybe some ghosts are more evolved than others. [shrug!] Some people claim to see full apparitions right down to having the same smell as people they once knew. It's a possibility.

What are you more likely to believe? A trusted friend, or a piece of paper somebody randomly sent you?

I don't think it's a bad thing to get information from books, but there's a lot to learn about the supernatural outside of them, too.
