I liked the Solarium. I didn't get to spend enough time there while I could. And because the library opened up the same time as the simulations room, I had to spend more time there than anywhere else.

... I'll give you that. The Solarium was nice. About as close as we got to real sunlight, anyway.

[ he's finished cutting the veggies!! they are in a neat little pile. he stares at them ]

Yup. I tried to spend as much time as I could...I've missed it. [the veggies are done and he grins, grabbing them from the pile to start sprinkling them in.]

You'll eat these, right? I don't have to add a bunch in. [cloud why are you staring at them...]

[skyagain]

It's fine. I'm not picky. [ he was staring because he didn't know what to do with them. like a kid when you give them a task and they finish and kind of go "now what..." ] What are you making?

[reconnective]

That's good at least. [means it's less having to overcompensate.] It's beef bourguignon...? I haven't made it much, so figured some practice would be fine. And there's enough of it to share with whoever wants some.

[skyagain]

... Right.

[ he has no idea what that is but there's beef and veggies in it, sure. ]

[yeah he just laughs.]

Little Chef was really particular about the kind of stuff that got served at the bistro, and he was even more particular about how it was made. [he says all of this while he's cooking.]

Little Chef?

[ the name sounds familiar but he cannot be expected to remember all the weird shit he learned or overheard from sora talking to people. the sad shit was easier to remember because it was depressing. ]

Is that who taught you how to cook?

[reconnective]

Yeah. [he sounds light and cheerful.] He's a friend we met recently. We rescued him from a bunch of Heartless in Traverse Town, but when we went to see Uncle Scrooge at his new restaurant we found out Little Chef was like his partner who was coming up with the recipes and making the dishes. He just needed some extra hands. So...I said yes.

[ sora not mentioning it's a rat is so funny

Lucky coincidence, then. For both of you. [ he's watching sora cook meanwhile because he has no idea what the fuck hes doing ]

[STOP NO ONE ASKS AND HE THINKS IT'S FINE.]

It was, yeah. It helped us out a lot, too, so we could make stuff while we were traveling and find ingredients in all kinds of worlds to learn new stuff. I've actually learned a lot from him? Even if sometimes it's hard to understand him.

[cooking...]

Why's he hard to understand? Too many technical terms?

[ why would anyone ask WHAT SPECIES WAS YOUR COOK TEACHER, please. cloud's nodding at that cooking line like sure! it looks about done! he has no idea. ]

Oh, uh...he doesn't really talk? He mostly just pulls my hair and points at stuff and I figure it out as we go.

[cooking!!!! give it a few more minutes for the veggies to soften and he turns down the heat.]

... He pulls your hair?

[ henwo? but he grabs two plates. sora also eat. ]

Only sometimes! Usually I can guess. [there are two plates, and he's dishing up dinner for both of them before sliding over the plate and a spoon.]

Can he not talk...?

[ but he takes the food and tries it!! there's a pause ]

... Pretty good. [ this is insane praise from cloud wow sora five starred this food ]

I was hoping you'd think so. [BEAMING. he's so proud of himself. but he's taking a few bites of his own before shaking his head.]

But no, Little Chef doesn't talk. Everybody seems to understand him most of the time though, so I guess that doesn't bother him.

... Guess it's fine so long as he can make himself understood. [ he will never ask if little chef is a rat. he eats some more because he was not lying about being hungry ] So you learnt all this while doing everything else?

[ the heartless fighting And learning how to cook? wtf ]

[nodding along. eating his food. never telling cloud it's a rat.]

I picked up a lot of things while we were traveling and helping out the other worlds. Little Chef needed us to help perfect recipes, Ariel needed us to help with her musical, Rapunzel needed our help escorting her to the lantern festival, the dalmatians needed help finding their parents...stuff like that.

Dalmatians, like... the dogs? [ he huffs ] Why am I not surprised you rescued puppies?

[reconnective]

Like the dogs. [a solemn nod, and he looks sad suddenly.] Their world got destroyed, too, and they all got separated. We had to help reunite them in Traverse Town so they could be together.

[THE BABIES :(]

Glad you reunited them.

[reconnective]

Me too. It took a while...there were ninety-nine of them and they were all over the place. But we did it! [spooning food in his face.] I don't mind helping when it comes to that kind of stuff. Even if it sets us back a little.

[ wait go back ]

Ninety-nine of them? I thought you said you were bringing them back to their parents? [ HOW MANY DOGS DID SORA MEET ]

Yeah, we were. But that's about how many there were. They had a whole house for themselves and everything.
