I feel as though that's probably what a tsundere would say, based off my understanding?
[also have a memory:
You attempt to talk down the sea creature before you--riddled with fangs and four times or so bigger than you it may be, it's hardly intimidating--to prevent disaster from striking. It won't be able to reach the children behind you, given that a barrier stands between you and them, and you know this creature won't have the power to destroy it. Still, out in the ocean, the children will drown if left to fend for themselves.
The creature ignores you, letting out a roar as it lunges to attack--and you respond in kind, with a punch that sends it flying into the sky and out of sight. Negotiations failed, it seems. You don't have much time to wonder why, however, as you gaze into the water beneath the rock you stand on.
Countless of those creatures, gigantic and multi-teethed, rush out from the depths. They crunch you between their fangs, tearing your body apart. The pain means nothing to you. After all these years, after all the violence and combat you've been a part of, pain is something so ingrained in your life that it doesn't even register.
Your blood fills the sea, but you already begin to heal. Not all of your limbs have fully regenerated by the time you strike back, energy sparking through the water until everything explodes in light. All of the creatures around you are shredded to pieces while the waves surge, sending the children tumbling into the water. It's no matter, though, as when your attack reaches the barrier, it breaks--and finally, completely healed, you can grab the children before they drown. Carefully, gently; if you grip too hard without meaning to, you'll crush them to death.
More creatures emerge, as you prepare yourself for a fight.]

How noble of you.

Thank you? Though I don't know if I'd really call it noble for someone to do something that didn't require much effort anyway.

It's about the act itself. Choice, regardless of effort, matters.
