Stuck in this karaoke bar, you wish you were anywhere but here. The girl singing at the front, pausing in her song, asks for you to sing together with her. You say no, of course. You were forcibly dragged here, so why would any of your classmates think you'd agree?
However, your classmate sitting next to you passes the mic onto you. You try to resist, but injured as you are, you're no match for him. As a result, you have to move onto your next strategy. You turn to the girl next to you, knowing she should feel equally against this.
After all, in this broken world, one has no time for cozy relationships. Neither of you has a moment to spare on trivialities like hanging out, when you instead should focus on obtaining more power. Knowing that, she'll be your comrade in exasperation--not that you believe in things like allies or friends, but you'll make an exception for emergencies like these.
Looking at her, though, with her eyes of envy, you realize a cruel truth: she actually wants to sing. She denies it when you call her out, but anyone can see through her feeble lies, and they do.
Traitor. Trash. You knew it. Comrades are just an illusion, and you were a fool for thinking even for a second that you had one. Ugh.
The girl at the front finishes her song, and then with delight looks at the mic in your hand. You fervently try to refuse to sing, insisting that you will absolutely not--but once again, reality is harsh when it becomes obvious that you'll just look even more pathetic if you remain silent as the song plays.
Your heart thuds in your chest. Your palm becomes covered in sweat. You look at the countdown until the song starts. In a raid, such little time would demand your escape. However, with your injuries, that's no longer an option for you. Do you really have no choice but to sing?
To be honest, you'd rather be staring down potential death right now. That sounds better than this hell you're going through.
Nevertheless--
The song starts, and as the others exclaim in joy (god, you're going to kill them when you have the chance), you resign yourself to your fate.]
I mean, it's either you or someone else or I get put on phone duty because I'm the only one available. Not like I can get away from having to deal with all of you, one way or another.
