Were you aware of those shadows?

There have been various things involving shadows. I can guess what you might be referring to, but can you specify?

The ones that appeared at the execution, of course, but primarily, Sieghart. He told me one came to him.

After speaking with him and several others who knew him well, I do.

What did he say, exactly?

A shadow approached him at the beginning of the week, offering assistance. He didn't agree, but it nonetheless took control of him. And when he awoke on Thursday and saw Flayn, he killed her as a result.

Then it sounds like you have about as many details as one could expect to receive.

Were you aware of this as a possibility?

We were aware that it wasn't necessarily an impossibility, at least.

I had the impression that there might be some way to tell beforehand whether someone has been possessed by a shadow.

Is there such a possibility?

I can't say for sure one way or another, but I feel that it would likely be a fool's errand to bank on it.
