Well, if it's anything like the story, you need someone from the other side to lead you. But just like before, they can't look back, or the person they're trying to lead out will be gone forever.

So I figure... maybe we go into our mausoleum, they go into theirs, and they have to find us and take us the rest of the way back? Seems like this place is really into Orpheus and Eurydice, so it would make sense if that was how it had to go.
