to yuri, harrow, bradley, mikazuki, jason:

Do you know what I miss the most about the other side? The joy of everyone's company. Seeing you all gathered together warms my heart.

But I would propose that you could make these parties more enjoyable by adding an activity of sorts. On this side, we intend to do something quite exciting and thrilling -- if I may offer a suggestion, the doors are exhilarating, aren't they?

There is the possibility that having an activity is distracting, as someone might be drawn to the more entertaining activity and ignore the rest, but I believe it will be gratifying all the same.

To your health,

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd

to people indicated in the letter, help me

Dear Lup,

I am safe, as are Emet-Selch, Sylvain, and Claude. For a lot of dead people, the energy here is very spirited. Perhaps a bit too spirited, if you consider what happened with the cannibal? But I understand it. I am trying to take your advice and not take on too much, but I am eager to see you all again as well, and it imbues me with the same, restless energy.

There are not too many of you left, so be careful. Perhaps it is too much to hope that no one else will die, but I will pray for your safety all the same, my friend.

Sincerely,

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd

Dear YooYoo,

I am a fool, but one cursed with hope.

May you suffer life a while longer.

Sincerely,

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd

[ there's a few flattened white petals with this letter. ]

Dear Mikazuki Munechika,

I write to you this Tuesday evening. I hope you and the others are well. I find myself missing your infuriatingly inscrutable banter, your open ear to everyone's woes, and your warm tea. May our next reunion be closer than it seems.

Please look after Shinobu. She is perfectly capable, but I fear not everyone has her best interests at heart.

Sincerest Regards,

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd

Dear Tsurumaru,

I write to you this Tuesday evening. Your idea is very intriguing, and Rupert agrees. In fact, I found it such an exciting idea that I told some of the others, and he intends to do the same. I hope that is all right with you, but everyone should have the opportunity for such thrilling excursions, no? Otherwise, there has not been much change here since last we wrote. The papers are interesting. I find myself wondering how our camp counselor is doing. Also, so you are aware, we do not have doors on our side.

More sentimentally, I have missed you all, and I fear I have left you specifically with my burdens. But still, I must ask: take care of Shinobu, and watch out for yourself. After this weekend, I find myself uneasy.

It feels strange to write to you from beyond the grave, so I hope that we might reunite soon, my friend.

Warm Regards,

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd

to shinobu

[ there's one small, purple hyacinth bloom pressed flat in the envelope, with a clumsy tear in one of the petals. ]

You are right -- hypocrisy is among my many faults. I have urged you to choose life at every junction, while I have grasped for death whenever it extends its hand to me. It is true that I find living to be a hardship. I have left you the burden of surviving.

But can I admit to you a secret? Both times now, at the very end, I still wished that I had more time. With you, with the others. Dying has begun to frighten me, because I could lose someone like you, who would shed a tear for a wretch like me. I am sorry that I hurt you with my carelessness. I will work tirelessly to see you all again, so that you might have the opportunity to insult me in person.

Your letters are not on display, so I hope you will write to me whenever you need a shoulder to lean on. And because, selfishly, I miss you.

Stay safe, and until next we meet,

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd
