[earlier on this fine, beautiful day, mikazuki may have noticed that the strange key he received has changed a bit. a newly added letter b is embossed on the key itself.
mikazuki, probably deciding now was a good time for a stroll, decided not to go alone and sought out a friend to take with him in the form of tsurumaru.
as they make their way through the hotel, looking for a place to try this key, they find themselves in the mezzanine. specifically, as they're walking to the corner of the Little Dipper wing and the Cassiopeia wing - the room on the left is marked with a golden C.

[earlier on this fine, beauty day, mikazuki took tsurumaru's hand and began walking without explanation. their walk brought them to the mezzanine, which is perhaps the first confusing part, and the second is when he will let go of tsurumaru's hand to reach into his sleeve for the key to try on the golden C door.]

As for the living room itself, it's a bit on the small side. There's a round coffee table atop a rug, a couch nearby, and a few cushions that appear to be for extra seating. On the table is a box. Part of the room also appears to be shared with a kitchen area.

[Mikazuki can open the box! It is a very plain box, but inside are... snacks. Wow.
