[earlier on this fine, beautiful day, bradley may have noticed that the strange key he received has changed a bit. a newly added letter f is embossed on the key itself.
bradley, rapidly losing all of his gamemates and probably wanting the company of someone who hasn't yet been murdered, decided not to go alone and sought out a friend to take with him in the form of sheila.
as they make their way through the hotel, looking for a place to try this key, they find themselves in the mezzanine. specifically, as they're walking to the corner of the Big Dipper wing and the Cassiopeia wing - the room on the left is marked with a golden F.
[the key fits in the keyhole, and bradley successfully unlocks the door.
and then the uwu jumps out from behind the door and kills them both. no, i'm kidding.
in they go! they'll find themselves in... a hotel room. as in, literally the sort of generic room you'd expect to find in an average three-star hotel. everything's in plain, muted colours—again, generic.
to their right, as they step in, is a door-less mini-closet. further in, along the same wall as the closet, is the desk area, plus a tv mounted on the wall above it. beneath the desk is a trash can. by the desk, additionally, is a chair.
to their left is the door to the bathroom. past that, aka opposite to the desk area and not immediately visible from the door way (as it would be behind the washroom), is a twin bed, lined up against the wall. there's a nightstand with a light beside it.
on the wall opposite to the door, aka the wall that bed's headrest is propped against, are windows, light shining in gently through the curtains.
all in all, a room that doesn't appear to have anything personal about it, maybe to the point that that itself is identifying in some way. what now?]
[in the closet, bradley finds a folded pile of clothes. hard to make out what they are when folded up, other than that the top layer is a dull dark blue.
the desk doesn't have drawers, but in the trash can, sheila finds a crumpled piece of paper.]
[Bradley unfolds... a men's high school uniform. Would Bradley even know what that looks like? It would be very funny if he had no idea after attending the school murdergame, but presumably we've had enough teenagers running around in the murder circuit. Anyway, it's a set of dark jacket with a red armband + pants + white shirt. Also there are probably shoes and stuff. Me trying to remember what goes in an outfit.
On the paper that Sheila finds is a) some dried blood and b) messy writing—the kind you'd expect from someone who wasn't looking down at the page as they wrote. The entire thing is scribbled over, more so in some places than others, but the haphazard nature of the strikeouts means everything is still legible if she tries to read it.]
I miss you. I know that you'll never see this but Sorry that your big brother hasn't been home for so long, but hopefully, I'll see you soon.
I'm sor Do you remember that field of sunflowers? The flowers were almost as tall as you, weren't they? You've probably grown since then though. If I can, I'll take you there again. If not there, then somewhere peaceful. A place where we can look up at the stars, maybe. It's a promise.
[It's very funny that he does know about school uniforms. He probably cannot place this as exactly high school, but he knows it goes to a school, and with the sizing of it middle school and up.]
[Bradley does not find anything in the pockets! Though he'll notice that the uniform has some wear and tear, as though it's seen better days. Still perfectly wearable, but it's not exactly the state you'd expect a normal student to end up in. Maybe. I don't know what counts as normal for wizards.
Looking outside the window, Sheila will not see any scenery. It's just Light coming in through the window.]
[Uuuh he just thinks kids just almost die as a fact of life. Where's the wear and tear? Does it look like the uniform's been stabbed or just more scuffed up?]
... Riku was a teenager at the school.
[It's not impossible to assume that another teenager was pulled to serve as staff.]
[A cut from something sharp, which is probably about as much as Bradley can tell. And nope, this is the only set of clothes in the closet! There is, however, also a safe-that-people-might-mistake-for-a-microwave, the door open ajar.
No drawers anywhere otherwise, though.
The bathroom is... just as generic-looking as the rest of the room, really. There's a toilet, a shower, a trash can, and a sink with a mirror and toiletries.]
The bed is just a bed that's, like, half-made. So whoever uses it couldn't be bothered to fully make it, apparently, but it's not a mess either. Nothing of note on the bed or under the covers and sheets, but underneath the bed is a... pack of water bottles. Wow.]
