[there are the stairs. they can take those! they seem to lead up into the cliffsides but it's difficult to see what might beyond the rocks. or they can attempt to get to the radio tower traveling up a different path onward.
though...they get the feeling that perhaps the stairs are not a wise option. it will lead to the hole, and the hole is not worth it. going through the fence is an option, but it will only lead them to the mines. that isn't an option either. both of them are covered in cuts and bruises. aikawa is no longer paralyzed but may feel a twinge in his back. jiji's blade is covered in blood. they still have lost memories and memories that were not their own, personality adjustments that are also not quite their own, but they have been dulled down to a more manageable level.
